Amusingly, since I'm still fairly new to the ETS & ATS games, this video just showed me that I can change my seat adjustments and mirror positions... which I had NO IDEA I could do lol.
Here in Texas I've always called the "bottom dump" trailers a "Belly-dump" this was my first time actually hearing anyone call it a "bottom dump". But both sound good. Just recently found this channel and bought ETS2 and I'm new to it but, its growing on me.

Little advice for those, who use H-shifter and want to use zoom interior camera when backing. Set for this function same key as for your reverse gear. Because every gear selected on H-shifter act same as you hold key all the time, so when you set reverse gear, zoom camera automatic switch on until you set another gear. And you can backing more easily. Sory for eng. Hope this help someone.
I could be wrong, but the doubled configuration bottom dumper trailers looked like single axle > dolly > single axle, and if so, would mean an additional pivot, so keep that in mind when reversing.

I spent a Summer pulling a double belly dump as we called them, around and around hauling and dumping rotomill tailings from road construction. I had a crappy old, turd brown, Kenworth with a 13 speed, and a small sleeper. No air con, nothing but a cb radio and the hot air blasting me thru the open windows... Even the air ride seat was broke, but we had it jammed into a driveable position. Oh yeah, good times. I turned my cdl in and went back to a regular license at the end of the Summer. That was back in the day you could take the written, have a trucker with a truck and license give you a driving lesson, then you passed the test with the instructor by going onto the interstate, driving a couple of miles exiting and looping back. All bobtail. Nothing fancy, no school, just the basics.
SpatialDragon Still doesnt require schooling. They drilled that into people and milk it terribly. All i need is a truck and trailer and im golden for the test. I i know many cdl carrying people that would chill in the truck with me.
First oversized trailer I took in the 1.31 beta took me through some road construction wich was very tight for the big box trailer (no mods used in that case)
I think SCS are moving away from using large prefabs. Be nice to see smaller, modular ones, which they seem to be doing now, helps alot in that department - to me anyway :)
Saw an older vid of yours and you had like a 25 second title card intro, which was really excessive. Happy to see you must have noticed that, and switched over to like a 1-2 second intro, which is perfect. Don't see enough people toning back their self-adulation, so well done.
The polygon / triangle helps when knowing if your model has too many polygons hindering frame rate. I use it in GE for moding and in game. Handy, but same time can get annoying when theres no way around but heavy polygons..
I would honestly like to see the ability to walk outside your truck and connect wires manually. A bit like on Fernbus, where you can open doors and jump in to the truck. maybe have this ability to walk around and experience other peoples trucks at maybe a truck fest. it would be so awesome.
It would also be a lot cooler if we could raise/lower the air suspension of the truck itself to hook/unhook from a trailer instead of just driving under it and pressing a button to hook/unhook the trailer. also, loading docks that are located in a pit would be a cool addition.
The yellow line and red line are both airlines. Yellow is the main "service" airline, and in case of a failure with that airline you have the red "emergency" air line.
I really like that they don't make individual customization packs for each individual truck, but instead updates it into the mighty griffin dlc. Really makes dlc's worth buying :)
It would be cool to see scs add in licensing so if you have just started you can only drive a van till you reach level 2 where you can drive a 7.5 ton truck and then reach level 5 and progress up to a 13 tonner and then reach level 20 and drive the big class 1 trucks that would be nice and also having to wait for your trailer to be unloaded before you get the next load it would add that more realistic aspect of the game
There's a truck Simulator called, On The Road, and is still in early access. The map scale is slightly larger than ETS and potentially has the makings of a very nice simulator. You can now do multi-drop deliveries, something still not done in ETS. It is now TrackIR enabled and compatible with steering wheels although clutch and H-Shifter isn't yet so just automatic driving but the good thing about it is you can actually get out of your truck and walk around it. You can fill it up with fuel at the station. Now why isn't SCS giving us the ability to get out of the truck and walk around in both ETS/ATS??
Very nice, but please SCS, give us the ability to lower cab windows & hear wind etc coming through! I've been waiting for that for the past couple years.
One little thing I would like the Dev's to add is as in real life multi drop load's I think that would totally transform this game, not sure if that's even possible at this stage of development but it really would be a nice touch.
I'd like to see them take it a step further, and have a contract system similar to TransOcean. Each contract would take up a certain amount of trailer space, and weight limit. Or you can accept large contracts that take many trips to complete. If completed on time, you receive a large bonus. If not completed on time, you receive a large penalty.
what i would really like to make ETS2 and ATS more realistic would be that you can get out of your truck and WALK to like a store on a petrol station and get hungry and thirsty so you need to eat and drink!
That for the update, I think SCS should bring out a heavy cargo pack for ATS like ETS 2, American is more expansed and has better roads and wider highways to cater to bigger loads.
Thanks for the update info. Very curious if the new mirrors react to my head movement in VR. Always have a little brain fart in games when i move my head to see more in the mirror but view doesn't change lol
I love this game, but I am really bored of plain roads. There should be bumps, off road track, pot holes, narrow ways, difficult turns, wooden bridge over rivers.....
Hi Paul. I've got a great solution for ets and ats multiplayer. They should make servers like a training server and expert server and have violations and have a grading system where only certain levels can get on certain servers. I got the idea from a moblie flight simulator Infinite flight you should watch some videos on how there servers are for further understanding and probably talk about it in your next ats or ets video?
You have in ETS2 a few new AI vehicle (Ford Mustang/Shelby and a few little vans. I'm missing the Tesla Model S and Model X for ETS2. Monaco will be a nice city to add, included with supercars. For ATS I miss the Tesla Model X and the Tesla factory in Nevada. As AI it's maybe nice to see the cars from Knight Rider and The A Team.
Scania is working on all-electric trucks along with Volvo, they're even setting up a stretch of electrified highway in Sweden. As far as the Tesla truck in concerned, that's probably mostly a licensing issue (which is also the reason there's so few trucks in ATS in general). Reach out to Tesla and tell them you'd like to see the truck in the game, if enough of us do it they might just consider it.
I usually haul 200ton with the Mack superliner, Kenworth T908 and Kenowrth K200.I really am heavy haulage XD I would love to see trailer weigh over 200ton if there is anyone out that that can make this please let me know!

I don't know if any of the current states allow a standard or long sized trailer with a pup trailer in tow. I know that Oregon does though. Also, that is not a two axle trailer. It's just a single axle trailer with a dolly hooked to the front
I still always just take the highest paying job, though that’s a little different now that I have drivers making enough daily so it’s a habit I’m getting out of.

I wish they would add an (AI vehicle density slider) to the game play so you can set your own traffic density insted of relying on a mod. That way you can set it exactly the way you want it. I know it can be done in console but this would be easier.
The issue is that a higher density of traffic creates a couple of problems. Firstly, frame rates (more stuff to manage and draw) and secondly it tends to lock up as the AI can’t cope with it. Then there’s another side effect where it’s very hard to get out of giveway junctions because there are also no breaks in the traffic due to it not randomising it like you would see in real life. That’s why there is no slider for it, they know the AI can’t cope with extreme traffic
As Squirrel said. But interestingly there's a command to increase traffic/density under g_traffic which you can use if you have dev console enabled. But you'll start to notice increase of spawn rate of vehicles like a ton of police etc ...
Joe Parkinson I do have console enabled and my traffic increased with fps dropping to just 50 on (some) occasions, not real noticeable. I'm just saying it would give players an easy way to increase or decrease traffic to their liking. Not everyone knows about the console.
Fanus Theron I'm so sad that some trucks may should be inactivated when update 1.31 exist. but some trucks and trailers will be support version 1.31 while Open Beta of version 1.31 are exist.

ETS still seems a bit too static. There is not enough dynamic feeling in game. Sometimes feels too repetitive.
Copy and paste roads don't help
ATS is more monotonous to me honestly, less interesting roads, and less roads overall

Aah it is good to see the Dear ImGui library being used as the console/debug windows.

The Special Transport Pack is currently in development for ATS.
They may have added the cables now if in the future we can get out of our trucks.

Yes, Nevada allows "Rocky Mountain doubles" (As well as triple pups)
