I’m not just “overreacting”; there are some real issues here based on what I’ve seen in his first three years. 1. Missed Opportunities-He had the chance to bring in a solid defensive coordinator to support our strong offense and potentially chase a national championship. But that didn’t happen and it wasted two years of CW and a potential NC. 2. Lack of Accountability- After that disappointing loss to Tulane, he still didn’t make a move to change things with Grinch. That felt like a wasted opportunity to fix what was clearly broken. 3. Recruitment Failures-He hasn’t prioritized recruiting strong offensive and defensive linemen, especially with the Big Ten ahead. That’s a huge oversight that hurt the program. 4. Ignoring Local Talent- It seems like he’s forgotten about the importance of recruiting in California, where USC has always thrived. We’re losing top players to other programs, and it shouldn't be happening. 5. NIL Strategy- There’s no clear plan for NIL. USC has the money but lacks a solid strategy to help athletes navigate deals and connect with sponsors. This is crucial in today’s college football landscape. All of this is leading to good players leaving the program, which is really frustrating. As a season ticket holder and alumni, I care deeply about USC and have every right to express my concerns James so KMA.
@ no, I think his decision was likely motivated by money. Which is perfectly understandable. I don’t blame this young man for chasing the bag, I would as well. Given that I think Oregon has the most NIL and currently the most motivation to spend big on proven players like Emmanuel
I was just thinking, the real snakes causing all this mess behind the scenes are all these players agents. They the one snaking around looking for NIL deals for their players and of course they get a cut from the deals. With no NIL regulations or contracts, these agents running around wild.

Truth of the matter with the old system I got attached to the players because you could follow them for 3-4 years. Now I don't really care if they leave even if they are good because they only play for 1-2 years
If 95% of players won't make it to the NFL, why wouldn't everyone make an effort to monetize their skills during the 3 or 4 years they are playing college ball? The coaches showed the players how it's done with the annual coaching carousel.
This seems to be all about money. Perhaps it will be played off as Coach Hansen leaving but that is just a convenient cover. Perhaps the real story is that USC only has a limited budget and had to spend some money to bring in players, which left EP saying well what about me? If this guy is worth $X dollars, then I should be getting $X+ dollars. This version will ring even more true when we learn that EP went to a place like Oregon, Miami, Florida, or one of the other big programs for big time bucks. USC needs a business manager and a bigger budget if they are to have any hope of being relevant in this new era of college football.
I feel one thing could the NCAA can do to fix this: You switch schools, you lose a year of eligibility. That would force coaches and players to work together and make players work to fine a home. Too much to lose if you burn a year.
I can't help but to wonder WTF is going on over there at USC? I can only hope that they have equal or better talent coming in. They better start paying kids!

USC needs contracts just like the NFL.
Good luck on holding anyone accountable in this crazy Nil. Good luck
He was not an All American we have guys on the bench who are better and have a chance to become an All-American.
Give Hayden Treter a chance at guard. Or risk losing a younger player.
Pregnon stayed for another year to get developed and he doesnt trust that will happen at USC. Ouch.
This has Bob Sugar written all over it!
Everyday It's one step forward and two steps back.
College football is just starting to suck bottom line NIL I get it for the players, but for the fans it blows the fans are the one who pay the bills and the fans are the one who get a crappy product to watch
I'm done with Lincoln and the SC president. The way they approach this NIL is borderline nuts. I know there is ego involved here and is freaking reckless.
A new and great GM
Figure the insane Free agency period will be brought under control in next couple years
Until then Spend or cry and complain
SHOCKER!!!!!
Thoughts of pursuing Sagapolutele in the portal?
College football has officially died. If they don’t put a salary caps then you could see more player leave for bigger pockets. And don’t blame Lincoln if SC goes 6-6. There’s only a few colleges that benefit on the NIL Texas and Oregon. NIL ruined college football
This is a money issue.. kid wants to get paid. Pay the man.
This is why I stopped watching the nfl....the last thing that I would watch was college football.....looks like that's coming to an end too.
I am just curious where he goes and what the cost was to get him there. Whoever it is, those bastards did a good. A lot better than we did. I wish I was behind the closed doors to see exactly what is going on at SC.
Where is he going ?
Bag>legacy for this generation of players🤦🏽♂️
This whole thing is out of control. Period.
That’s what Riley gets for not not taking his play-calling and losses seriously.
Makes no sense play in the bowl game and leave if Paige follows it’s wraps
Not supraised it was fishy when he announced he was going back to usc few weeks ago
Some other university just pulled up to Emmanuel Pregnon's house with a VERY Big Bag. It happens. Welcome to NIL and 2025.
Riley is in over his head at everything. He is reactive, not proactive. We need Carroll back at some level! Director of Operations.
Try HC.
@@chadwilcox6910 He’s a professor At USC but I heard he is interested in the Chicago Bears job too
It’s not about the coaches anymore. It’s about the mighty dollar. The commitment days are over.
Get over Pete Carroll not happening
Three weeks ago he was turning pro. He’s dead to me now.
We will pick up 2-3 OL in the Spring TP. Do not panic and Fight On! ✌️
This coaching staff struggles to "coach up" and develop the talent that they already have in house. This results in mediocre play on the field. Can you imagine Coach Riley being able to really inspire, fire up and/or motivate players???? Based on the public demeaner of this coach, I can confidently say: "Probably Not" = play that is uninspired, not genuinely fired up and shallowly motivated. Wish it could be different. Doesn't seem to be. :(
