Great reflections, Mike! Inspiring someone to quit drinking, surviving a tornado, and surmounting a cyber hack makes your year sound like the makings of an adventerous story! Happy 2025!
I’m a new guy to the channel (as of December), and I love the content. Hope the analytics don’t getcha down. Have read a few from your recommendations and those in the Discord. Keep em coming! Favorite book tuber by far.
You mentioned wanting to do a channel read along -- I agree! I miss the enthusiasm of the warband you generated back when doing Greatcoats or Malazan. It would be awesome if you hosted something like that again.
I found your channel late last year. Thank you so much for such great videos and content and for not stopping. I have found so many new authors and series from watching you. Just started the Echo series and am loving it. Happy 2025!
Hi Mike. I just want to say thank you for all the wonderful content you've given us this past year. You've encouraged me to try out some new authors that I've never heard of before. Your positivity is infectious and is just one of the reasons I keep watching your channel. May 2025 be a real banger. Cheers mate.
Sincerely wishing you and your family every joy and success in 2025. Your channel is always a must watch due to your balanced, sensible and enthusiastic take on reading.
Hi Mike. I assume that you always take a book with you wherever you go. But do you have a reading chair/couch/at a desk? Where do you normally spend time reading? I am working my way through The Evening And The Morning by Ken Follett. I hope to finish the Kingsbridge series this year🤞. Cheers from South Africa.
Great content and very good insight and presentation. You picked up a new subscriber here...hope that helps for 2025. Really one of the best on TH-cam.
Love you Mike! Seriously 2024 was full for books based off your recommendations! This year I started the Cosmere! I started and got caught up in the Stormlight Archive and now am currently on Wind and Truth. Read all of the Mistborn books. I read the Red Rising trilogy and all of the Bound and the Broken (except The Ice will read that after Wind and Truth. And then I finished the Broken Empire trilogy!
You introduced me to Ryan Cahill, Frank Herbert, Christopher Ruocchio, and John Gwynne last year. So far this year I'm loving Pierce Brown. Looking forward to what's next. Thanks Mike! 😁 I joined the channel this year, I'm glad the tornado didn't take you out man lol
It makes me sad when I find a cool youtuber through an older collab, only to see they haven’t posted in a year. ☹️ I still subscribe just in case they come back!
Yeah keep grinding. The algorithm is so weird and flawed. I ended up just making this separate youtube account so I can keep up with all my booktube people. I had to create this and then curate everything so that all I get for suggestions is booktube, and had to do that by just going through with this one and saying not interested in everything except Booktube. I will tell you though I don't see your stuff in my feed on my primary youtube account like I used to which is just dumb. Keep doing what you're doing though man, you really are the one that really got me back into reading a bunch again. I went a few years where I wasn't really reading more than like 7 or 8 books a year. Past 2 years has been much better, and this year I did 54 books. Love your channel! Thanks for being an inspiration!
I read 15 books in 2024, but since 5 of those were the Stormlight Archive, I’ve decided to unofficially double that number to 30, since each of those books is like 3-4 books on their own 😂
Yeah you used to show up in my recommended videos all the time but it definitely fell off the last couple of months. Now I just try to go to your channel for new uploads but it's definitely frustrating that the algorithm is doing that
My biggest surprise was probably reading all of Memory Sorrow and Thorn or that I read 12 volumes of One Piece. My biggest disappointment would be not reading any realm of the elderlings
I DNF'd Mercy of The Gods after loving (but falling off) the Expanse. I just couldn't get into Mercy of the Gods. I also DNF'd Wool. When the show launched, it got a LOT of buzz, and I wanted to read the book. Unfortunately, it read like boring YA to me. I've found that I dislike books that spend too long in a single location, specifically when it's indoors or in a spaceship.
Pretty much the same… got the audiobook with my audible subscription and supposedly listened to it but can’t remember anything about it after I moved over
Sorry, Wool better than Silo-all the politics they added on to stretch was a bore. Also, Mercy of the Gods-loved it! I guess I love aliens and surprises more than conventional politics and backstabbing -though those are fun too-but not too much! And I don’t like any of the Silo politics protagonists
Another year and still no review of Sandman Slim by Richard Kadrey... I'm sad. :( I enjoy your reviews very much, and hope you have a successful 2025! BTW, I'm 74 and I love Harry Potter. :) th-cam.com/video/kJSHFkoNL5U/w-d-xo.html
May your 2025 be free of tornadoes and hackers and full of excellent books, Mike!
A big hi light for me was getting to know you better my Quilluminatti brother. Here is to a great 25!
Another year in the books and a new chapter begins! 2025 is going to be your year! Long Live the Quilluminati!
Great reflections, Mike! Inspiring someone to quit drinking, surviving a tornado, and surmounting a cyber hack makes your year sound like the makings of an adventerous story! Happy 2025!

Thanks for everything, Mike! Really appreciate the channel. Looking forward to the year ahead.
Glad youre okay brother. Youre some of the best content out there
Mike in the Nightwish shirt. Your excellent taste clearly transcends books.
You mentioned wanting to do a channel read along -- I agree! I miss the enthusiasm of the warband you generated back when doing Greatcoats or Malazan. It would be awesome if you hosted something like that again.

Can’t thank you enough for introducing me to Blackwater. My wife and I absolutely loved it, one of our all time favorites.
Nice year in many ways Mike! I read 45 books, many good ones, still working on Wind and Truth
Here's to a great year. Forever glad you made those Dresden reviews that led me to your channel, which then got me back into regular fantasy again.

Love your content, Mike! It always feels like I am just listening to a friend that who loves books as much as I do 🎉❤
Here's to a great new year ahead of us!
I love watching top lists as they are where I get my recs from so I watched all of yours I think old as new 😊 loved em!
Sincerely wishing you and your family every joy and success in 2025. Your channel is always a must watch due to your balanced, sensible and enthusiastic take on reading.

Seeing a Nightwish t-shirt has made me very happy ❤

Thank you so much! You read so much like myself.
I just want to say I love your positivity. That is all
Thanks for all the great content. May your 2025 be a great year!

I joined the channel this year, I'm glad the tornado didn't take you out man lol
Mike, you’re a gangster man. Thanks for the content
The biggest surprise was The Testament by John Grisham. He is an author whose book I didn't think I would like. The book received 5 stars
I'm not sure about TH-cam overloads, but you're coming up a lot in my feed recently, though I wasn't even subscribed yet~~
Your video was at the top of my page today
It was great to hear you wrap up the year! I have a feeling 2025 is going to be an incredible, great year! 🎊 🎉
It makes me sad when I find a cool youtuber through an older collab, only to see they haven’t posted in a year. ☹️ I still subscribe just in case they come back!
I found your channel a couple of months ago and i am working through all your videos
If I'm not wrong, Peter's releasing a new standalone in the War for the Rose Throne series!
Thanks!
Cheers!

Long days and pleasant night to you
Hope this year is a little calmer.
It's not going to be. But we can hope.

Seems fair😉
😊👍
VINDICATION 😂
All the best for 2025. Have you tried Richard Laymon yet? He is my favorite horror writer.
Yeah you used to show up in my recommended videos all the time but it definitely fell off the last couple of months. Now I just try to go to your channel for new uploads but it's definitely frustrating that the algorithm is doing that
I love your positivity, what was your favourite movie of 2024?
My biggest surprise was probably reading all of Memory Sorrow and Thorn or that I read 12 volumes of One Piece.

My biggest shock in 2024 is that I got a condition called dysphagia. It makes it hard to swallow and eat.
Anything about Stephen King is cool to me
