@@jennyphillips9284 Honestly it's a good track, but I find it has a weird melody for VR. Part of it sounds more like a desert theme or something. I prefer RSE's because it's just straight up epic af the whole time. The brass and bells are just too good...

Basically the theme song for Pokemon Emerald Rogue.
Although I think Pokemon Gold Silver and Crystal have the best music in general, this is the best victory road theme in any game
I listened to this theme when I was going to the last day of school it really felt like going through the victory road
Goosebumps.
Something about seeing how strong Wally becomes over the course of the story & the maturity/class he shows even after losing to you he seems to accept it as a lesson learned & an opportunity to grow rather than just a loss. Imo wally is criminally underrated as a rival I dare to say he even has the most potential out of them all.

I think my favorite Victory Road themes are a tie between RSE, BW, and HGSS.
I can imagine myself going to a test center for scholarship qualifying exam with this tone
I went through victory road earlier today on my old ruby game because I found my old sapphire cartridge and needed a place to train up a snorunt, and after 8 years I found a trainer in victory road that I hadn't battled :O I stomped her into the ground anyway

I remember yelling and running all over the place of joy when I first saw Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire lol, mostly because I had only played FireRed, Emerald and Black up until that point.
It's like it was yesterday, yet it's been so long.😊
It's not only great for buildup to the Elie 4 but also to a legendary Pokemon that you're going to encounter at the end of a cave after pushing boulders aside.
Not only that, this is the only one that got a Metal-like remix in Super Smash Bros. Brawl

The Victory Road music never ceases to amaze me. Kanto's was great, Johto's was great, Hoenn's was EPIC, Sinnoh's was good, and Unova's is very intense, it told you that play time is over, time to get serious, especially with the buildup in the Badge check gates.

Gold, Silver, Crystal, Heartgold, and Soulsilver are easy because there are no trainers. Don't know why they did that? Yes I know Silver (rival) says he beat them all up, but you reach the end before him so it couldn't be him.

recon1o6 You shouldn't worry about his Voltorb using self destruct this time around. Starting in Gen V, it doesn't half the target's Defense anymore. In Gen I-IV, If you or the AI uses Self Destruct/Explosion, it half the target's defense so that would explain why you or your opponent fainted so easily.
Uh by the way, do have a Froakie with the ability Protean? ^.^
TomboyGamerGal i know about that but it was still quite annoying 200 and 250 base power is a lot especially considering the stage you are at in the game where moves are going to be 40-60 in power. no wonder wattson is constantly going WAHAHAHAHA!

While I don't agree with X/Y having "bullshit music", I do agree that ORAS deserves it's own style of music unique to that game, with trumpets intact!

Kanto's victory road was better. Hoenn is mid-low.
I've also noticed the huge distinction in the past 3 Pokemon games' Victory Road theme. Hoenn had epic stuff and things, Sinnoh.... I don't even know what Sinnoh's was, and Unova's was very serious. Who knows? Maybe Kalos's Victory Road theme will be a mix between all of them. Serious, epic, and... something that Sinnoh was.
After gen 3 the themes stopped being as memorable, my all time favorite pokemon theme is from gen 1 😭
