man steven thank you for your content and time, ive somehow stumbled across your channel as ive just begun learning and looking into selling sports cards in australia on ebay. your knowledge and ideas are really appreciated especially for a fellow aussie watcher who as you know the market is so small and niche here.
Awesome video again! 1) How do you sort inventory for your singles store? (We are approaching 500 listings and been sorting it by date of listing but want to see if you had another way) 2) You charge $3 for shipping in singles store on eBay, Do you absorb the 12% fee + the materials you use to pack the single cards? 3) What's the longest time you've had a graded card on sale for? I think you mentioned there was a card you had for almost 2 years in a previous video Cheers, thanks again!
Question 1: Are you thinking of changing your name from Pokemon Steven now you're ramping up on Yu-Gi-Oh/if you are looking at other TCGs. Question 2: You often say something similar to "its not about making money, its about trying to get as many cards as possible". How does you wife/partner respond to that? 😂
I will be yu gi steven soon. I think she understands the process by now, maybe scary/hard to grasp earlier, but to see where it's got us now, she understands.
Hey Steven, what cards do you put in your safety deposit box? What value do you consider worth putting in the box? And do you insure your collection? If you do, which insurance company do you use?
Haha I know this comment is harmless, but it is quite alarming asking such questions about high value items. I think you should put in what you could never think about losing. I use multiple ways of keeping my stuff safe, safey deposit boxes, overseas vaults (psa/pwcc), fireproof safes, multiple locations ect.. Gotta tick every box.
When did you start gardening cards I’ve wanted to start for a long time but I’m worried I may not have an eye for it. Also side not I’d love to see you in some lives sometimes with some other poketubers
I love the videos, I have 2 questions: 1 - What are your thoughts on investing in current sealed product Sword and Shield / Violet and Scarlet? 2 - When grading with PSA and selling returned cards are you allowed to use the scans that PSA give you?
Hi Steve, i live in a place where it's very hot and umid in summer and very cold in winter. How do i keep cards safe from climate? Thanks for all the information you spread around it's super helpfull, you are amazing!
How do you deal with “Item not received” or “item not as described” from international sellers attempting to get their money back? 1) How often does this happen? 2) What is the best methods to protect yourself before and after a claim. Meow
Pronounced like "Zurg" from toy story and you skipped my last question, I'm hurt haha. Question for next video: what did you focus on most when you first made the transition to grading a lot of cards vs selling raw singles?
Hi Steve, what are you thoughts on the simplified Chinese market? I saw you had the Lillie box, but have you looked at getting other singles from sets there?
Is there anything you would recommend or have learnt to make the photos of your items on eBay better? Not specifically to stand out from the rest, but enough to make the buyer happy and to get clear crisp photos. This is for a fairly new eBay seller selling both graded and raw. I'm also dealing with a storage problem with cards. They are taking up a lot of space and I have so many different boxes for conditions and different sets. Any advice? Great video, thanks!
How do you separate between money for your business and money for your personal life? I often find myself spending personal money on extra cards, or spending money from selling cards on personal stuff.
Where does your most consistent and reliable profit come from? Old, mid era or modern? I assume older has bigger margins but volume of obtaining those cards and selling takes a lot longer.
How do you deal with cards not selling, or not selling as fast as you expected? (do you lower your price or build stock for the long run) It may not apply as much to you, hence the volume of your operation, but it would be nice to hear your take on it for people who deal on a much smaller scale.
I find cards that I think are deals but by the time I factor in fees and condition creep( people listing incorrect condition) there isn't much profit in reselling. Is there a trick to sourcing cards?
How do you decide how to price cards ? Especially with cards that there isn’t sales data on or if you have attachments to ? Do you ever get concerned that you sell cards when they are in a price lul.
Hi Steve! Given how drastically the Pokémon card market has changed since 2016, what advice would you give sellers (like me) who are just now starting eBay stores? What are some effective “post Covid” strategies I may need to consider when buying and selling cards?
Hey Steve. Got any tips to handle sellers remorse? Recently sold a PSA 9 Lillies full force (Japanese) for 350euro a few weeks ago, and now I see it's being sold for like 700euro. :(
What you were talking about at 45:00 is basically me 😅 really regret letting that Lillie go especially so "cheap" but we'll I still earned over 250eur selling it.
How do you get your personalised signed items from Pokémon illustrators? Do you reach out via Instagram or twitter? Or do it another way? I really would love to get some of my collection signed or purchase a personalised artwork or something.
You're my favourite non financial cat advisor Steven. Great video!

For your raw card store, what scanner are you using to scan the cards in the photos?
I'll do an indepth review on it soon, but it is the Fujitsu fi-8170
It is extremely expensive and unnesscary, a phone can do the track just fine.
