It was cabbage, not lettuce!!! 😂. Thanks for watching my adventures in Japan. It sure was a great trip! I enjoyed exploring a different country. And spending time with a great team and Judah. ❤
That is so funny, because when you kept saying it was a really big lettuce, I kept thinking that it looked like cabbage!
In your defense, I have had a nice salad made with that cabbage before. it was a very popular pot lucky sort of salad in the late 80s early 90s
I came to tell you that I thought it was Chinese cabbage. That is what kimchi is made from. I only know because I tried making kimchi once.
Get that napa cabbage from Asian markets in Calfornia
@@KatherineWalden Do you have a recipe for that salad?
This trip has been utterly joyful! Thank you so much to all of you who were so willing to share your time with me. ❤❤❤raining nonstop in Massachusetts!
I’m from nh
Costco in Japan is the absolute best we’ve been there. The best part is how they served the samples on little tiny silver trays so classy.
Thanks for showing us Japan! Everyone seems lovely!!! I am so glad you got to go Sarah!
How neat to see some of the same items at the Japan Costco that we have in Texas! 😀 Yet there were also some things that are unique and fun. Thanks for taking us along for the ride! Happy Birthday Y'all! 🎂
Such a fun team of young people. Great video.
More wonderful fun. Bless you all. Thanks you for sharing your beautiful trip. Hugs
awww thank you sara its been nice to see japan with you so cute im suer miss your kids distince does make the heart grow fonder
Good shopping video. Now I know a Costco in Japan is. It looks terrific.
Beautiful people. Costco looks so clean. Hug your son and make memories with him.
I so enjoyed your trip to Japan. Glad you had such a wonderful experience. Thanks for sharing.
So much joy!!! Xxx
When i went to South Korea, I went to Costco, and was super impressed.
My husband and I learned to grocery shop and cook in giant family style(working in L’Arche homes). It was great for teaching us to buy well and to split bigger bulk things into smaller portions. So good to practice with a specific budget and list even if you later will have way less people!
L'arche communities are such special places. Thank you and your husband for caring and looking after the core members there.
Happy birthday to everyone!!! What a great adventure.I really want to go to Japan!
Another japan video yessssss😊
Loved this! Thank you for taking us along, even through the awkward feelings of vlogging in public. I have enjoyed seeing the sights as well as Costco! But especially the wonderful team that Judah is with. Such a nice fun group of people!
Such a fun group! Bless you all🥳🥳🥳🙏🏻
Japan is beautiful what a Godly community Happy Birthday all and bless you all
Hey Just heard it was a mass earthquake in Japan, hope all is already with your son. Praise the all is safe🙏🙏🙏🙏
Our cousin from NY went to Japan to teach English. Married a Japanese lady and their son is now in going to NYU and lives in NY .
Hope everyone has a Healthy and Happy New Year.
Happy December birthday to all those celebrating. It was interesting to see Costco in Japan. The ice machine was hysterically funny. 😁 Noelle did a great job vloging. 👍🏽 I like seeing snow from a distance. Last Christmas we had a horrific and deadly blizzard. This year, it was sunny and 60°. The snowball fight was fun to see. Thanks for sharing 😊
Lol the Costco rotisserie chicken is everywhere lol, and its £5.95p in UK $7.57. Was so surprised to see so much of the same stuff and we got some new American items this year, like pumpkin pie, we where all so excited lol. And them kids shopping for proper good food and staying in budget wow clever wee cookies. xoxoxox
Thank you Sarah for taking us to Costco! I go every month to the Portland Oregon Airport Costco! I'm shocked at how similar they are!!!❤🎉 happy birthday 🎂
I live in South Korea and absolutely love the Costco here. The bulgogi pizza is amazing.
Oh my goodness as a Canadian I totally understood where Janice was coming from I will quietly disappear from my crazy American friends when I am down in California and they are doing ridiculous things just to make me back away as a bit more conservative Canadian I have been in enjoying your Japanese travels konnichiwa
Such a fun video❤
Merry Christmas and Happy New year🎉 from Ireland 🇮🇪
Speaking of Canadian --- my son who lives in Japan found Tim Horton's coffee last year (and he loves his Dark Roast Tim Hortons's coffee) at Costco -- one time only! 😜☕☕

Noelle cam is so Cute!
Thanks for taking us along. I love seeing how happy Judah and all of his team members are during their stay in Japan.
♥️
❤❤❤❤❤
Happy Birthday Sarah! What is the date of your birthday? I’m also a December birthday?
Happy Birthday to you!
Peanut Butter really is just a big US thing believe it or not.
Cabbage, not lettuce.
What did your children receive from Santa???
I’m curious, is the fish economical there since it’s eaten so much?
Yes it is much more affordable in Japan.
I have been to a number of Costco stores in the Tokyo area where I live and I have never, ever seen one that empty. You did a good tour. Dairy products tend to be expensive because Hokkaido, where Judah lives, is the only place in Japan that is flat enough to keep cows. So it is almost all imported. Sour Cream is super expensive and cottage cheese is unavailable. That stuff you were looking at is just the curds, no creamy sauce. Another difference lots of Americans have to adjust to is very limited breakfast cereal. Mostly granola and cornflakes. Not a problem for your family, though. Two or three kinds of Campbell's soup, also not a problem for your family. You can understand how the cooks in the family really have culture shock when they move to another country, can't you?
My word, I can’t get over the prices!! 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
My son went to Grad School in Japan and now is working there. His University Advisor grew up in Wisconsin and she picked up a turkey at Costco and put together a traditional American Thanksgiving dinner for her family and invited him over to enjoy it with them.
That's so nice!
Sarah thank you so much for sharing your trip to Japan. I thoroughly enjoyed the videos.
I have enjoyed being in Japan with you so much! Thank you Sarah - and Judah & team - for taking us along with you!
Thank you Sarah for taking us to Japan with you. What an amazing trip!!
Our costcos in Korea have the hot dog meal for about $1.50 and also rotisserie chicken for about $6. PB 2 pack is about the same as there….very expensive. As an expat living here it’s nice to get a few Kirkland brand things.
Love your coat! It looks so warm and snuggly. Do you have a link where you got it? ❄️
My mom and dad got it for me at Sam's Club in Lincoln.
Merry Christmas to u and the family from my family to urs please be safe and safe travel home
As a Costco employee that's been watching you for YEARS, I'm SO jealous!!
Great video....I'm sad we leaving Japan soon...but I'm happy you two will be home with your family ❤❤❤
What a great time! Such a nice team over there, they all seem very sweet and lots of fun. ❤
That is napa cabbage/a.k.a., Chinese cabbage, not lettuce. It’s actually really good on just a regular sandwich and it adds a lot of nutrients.
Merry Christmas and happy new year🎄🥳🎉🎄
that was a cabbage, not lettuce. It's the kind used to make kimchi.
Black market prices on American food. Lived in Taiwan prices on American food were outrageous
that was Napa cabbage lots of Asian people use it for every thing they use cabbage for. When I make Lumpia I always use it. I use it all year(when I can get it and when it's affordable. I really enjoy seeing Judah an Japan, all of your first's of eating different things. Thank you for sharing with us. all of the team seems so nice. It was so good that there we're kids she could play with while y'all were there.
I'm surprised how many signs and items at that Costco was in English. I expected to see most of those things in Japanese with a few English subtitles here and there.
I am so enjoying these videos from Japan. Especially Noel’s camera video at the restaurant. Costco was so interesting to see all different foods and some familiar. Happy Birthday to all the ones who had birthdays. Favorite part, again the floor refrigerator. Too cool! Thumbs up!
What a joy to watch these videos Thank for sharing Love from Kansas🥰
So very interesting and totally enjoyable. Thanks for taking us to Japan. A place I’d love to visit but because of health reasons, never will, except for your video. 😮. Thanks and Happy birthday to all the birthday kids. ❤

Sarah have loved these videos from Japan. So heartwarming seeing all the different cultures getting along so well. Enjoyed watching them play in the snow. Also I actually think I could eat some of what I've seen as a picky eater. Most likely your home by now and hope your trip back went well. Thank you so much.
Great kids! Judah looks so happy!

That was a treat to see Costco in Japan. Peanut Butter cost would be too high here in USA. What fun you all had. Hello to all the young children from Texas. Noelle, you did a great job videoing. Happy Birthday to all you birthday folks.❤
That's so cool I'm glad you and your daughter are enjoying the weather and fun times

Nice! We know the pastors there. ☺️. Our church is City Church in Lincoln, NE.

That curry looked AMAZING! 🤩
It was!
Dry ice! This had me cracking up!
Mario's light keeps going out. New batteries. Thus: death mode. 😂😂😂 That's just the funniest thing ever to see. My kids will say, 'we killed it! Need new batteries!'
