You have to realize, if you would've tried renting in the city, plus add in the cost of food, utilities, which the living is already fairly expensive, considering what they would've seen (a head) in this case, compared to another urban city (Chicago, NY, LA) With residential vs commercial lots, zoning laws, etc.
