bruh made ssl look easy... My notes from the video: - solid defense - solid postioning "comfort" = watching to see how comfortable ppl are in their positoning / situation to see whats possible .. this part is new info for me, never thought about that before. oo and wall reads and self pass plays [rizzo talks about this in his road to gc / ssl? from few yrs ago] He didnt do those as well as you could have but interesting to see that even in the higest rank its basically just keeping ball close and fundamental mech's Making it look easy takes skills this guy clearly got, subbed!
Been stuck in champ ever since I hit 250 hours (im at about 1700 now). Although Ive pushed near gc a few times, I have never really gotten over that hump. Watching your gameplay makes me realize that I have probably been putting too much effort in to being quick on the ball and quick around the field as opposed to being open for a play at all times. Gonna be watching more to pick up on more methodical habits to build in game. Great commentary, keep it up.
The best thing I can tell you, imo is to gain gameplay IQ. Be a commentator for your games, speak out loud and calmly. This will help you focus on what everyone is doing, how much boost people have, what's safe what's unsafe, when to leave the play and when to be aggro. I hit GC2 with barely any mechanical plays. Didn't learn how to flip reset until 1500mmr. Also, if you think you're demoing a lot in games, you're not. Demo more. Some pro games there'll be 3 or 4 a minute
Troy is such a good pull for a tm8 (first game). Got him on my team 2 weeks ago and we rolled the opponents. Only reason I remember is cause I hit a nasty clip
Hey thaidee i play very similar to you, probably a bit less consistant then you but i have the same mindset problem solving. Do you have any tips for an OCE player trying to hit gc for the first time?. There's only like 20 ssls in oce 2v2 its very competitive in c1-gc1 in OCE, i just need to figure out a better mindset for playing with my teamates, i just feel like lots of people dont know how to play first or second man even if they're a good player individually, how would you combat that?
It's hard to say without looking at your individual bad habits. In general, champs tend to control the ball too much and when they go to bang they tend to rush.
@Thaidee_RL from my experience they dont know when to leave the ball for their teamate, i always leave it if theyre in a better position but its hard for them to read where i am for some reason, or they just dont know how to leave me in a better position
would love to see that too... although he may not want to reveal his secrets..... there's a million videos on warm up regimes but I haven't seen too many videos on how to take lessons from watching a replay into warm up practice - that would be an interesting one
I mean it's the top .1% so I'm not sure how much harder they can make it. Instead, I think it would be a good idea to add a rank after SSL, like top 100 for example.

Really like the way you talk through games. Similar to Flakes but more chill. Keep up the good work man

congrats on SSL dude! looking forward to seeing you make the top 100
Best rl video I’ve watched in a long time. So educational yet calming
Thanks for your perspective, helped me realise my own style of play and how others tend to play.
I just love the way you break down the simplest things we usually wouldn't think about. (Speaking as a diamond btw 😅).
Bro, you are goated (I subbed by the way)😃
just subbed! great work!

i appreciate this video

I hit c3 last season usually high c2 but need a bit of luck to hit c3. I just feel like im missing something to climb

Can you do a video of how you train/warm up everyday before grinding rank?

Yeah. I'm thinkin this video is based.
Not being awkward in rocket league coming at the cost of being awkward in real life, was it worth it? Anyways, congrats on SSL! R2top100 next?
I got 5k hours, I'm not ssl so I'm awkward in-game and irl 😭
Top 100 is next >:)
@@Pvlsevfx I felt that
They should make ssl harder to get, especially in 2s it's too easy.

Call my opponent awkward at every possible play and I'll climb. Got it. (jk jk)
