Fascinating conversation. So much potential with foils. As for electric power, the only vehicle where battery electric makes any sense is when the primary source is solar panels, otherwise the environmental offset is negligible when compared to the carbon footprint of battery production, and grid level power is still predominantly carbon based for production sources.
I though the Hysucat foil was the end of this debate, are you discussing another format? Alexei, think about this : a 30 feet Hysucat with an electric driven HamiltonJet HJ215 in each hull - 8x 123 kwTesla batteries under the deck, its doable!
as bering 1) Will you add a foil system to the monohull boats you will produce from now on? 2) Are you going to produce catamaran-style boats of 70 feet and above? 3) Can you add a foil system to the boats you have produced so far? 4) How many feet of catamaran boat can offer the same usage area with more comfort instead of a monohull 75 feet boat? 5) Would it be more advantageous and efficient to use propellers powered by electricity produced by a diesel engine? We expect you to answer our questions with a nice video.
Alexi - you are a class act! Thank you for sharing your passion about your company and boats!
Once Alexey got the engineer to loosen up. This was a great video🙂
Very educational.
Alexey is a great interviewer!!

Nice to see Alexi actually doing the interview. The tenders with foils sounds intriguing. Can’t wait to see it.
