So I did some math and this is what I found: from star chests (when converted to baby forms): price 1 random baby = 550 from the shop: price 1 epic baby= 1200 price 1 rare baby= 1000 price 1 common baby= 800 So star chests have more value but they are random
Your not calculating the star points given from buying babies from the shop, which drops their price significantly. I made a comment going over all of the calculations.
I think that they don’t let you have more baby’s for a unit you already have the ultra for because they don’t want people just stocking up on babies and getting all the ultimate units when they come out. It’s understandable but still very annoying
I hope they just add more boss modes similar to Unicron event, I agree, there's so much more to do and it's just more fun. Like, they could replace Unicron with the Formidable Boss Robot from Brawl Stars. He drops so many minions and has so many rage attacks. 👍
I’m just happy to have a way to get guaranteed ultra tier units. As a F2P person, the only ultra one I got was Dynamike from the first round of star chests. I also got a couple epics to super tier that I had been waiting on, like Max, Leon, and Dr T (even if he’s not a good character). I definitely think you should talk about the comparison between chest tickets vs star chests, as I see a lot of people saying they are now buying them in the shop even though chest tickets are so much better (I calculated it and commented on the last video, it's about 3x to 3.5x value buying chest tickets compared to star chests)

So by buying chest tickets, you get a ton of babies and actually get more star tokens than if you bought them directly. This means no matter the rng you get from those star chests, buying chest tickets is better, as you get more star tokens from chest tickets than you do buying them directly. Including the star chests drop, this is an average of 234 coins per baby. Next, we look at star chests. One chest costs 150,000 coins. 10 chests cost 1,500,000 coins and has a guaranteed 4 star unit (worth ten 3 stars) so you get the equivalent of nineteen 3 star units, or 1900 babies in 10 chests, so 1 chest averages to 190 babies worth (these aren't actually babies, so you can't evolve them for the star tokens). This is a rate of about 790 coins per baby. TL;DR buying chest tickets is about 3.3 times as efficient as buying star tokens.

Your counting out the odds of getting pity, which greatly increase overall chances of getting an ultra or ultimate (which is where most of the value comes from anyways). Basically you’re paying 270,000 coins for a 4* at the very best. But if you pull only common units before pity; you loose 70,000 coins on the exchange 9 times before you get a 4*. Summed up you’re gonna pay between 270,000-630,000 coins for the 4*?
That’s $25 (best case scenario) - $65 (worst case scenario) worth of coins to get a 4* if you choose to rely on the pity route. Which money-> coins-> babies is not a good exchange rate when you can buy 4* units outright from offers in the shop as low as $25

That is one probability table. The second, which is the regular probability table is given for the other 26.27% of times where you don't go to pity. To get the singular definitive probability table, simply do multiply each table by the chance of one or the other occuring, and add the values. (so the first table for pity you would multiply by 0.73727 and the second you would multiply by 0.26273). The first table will come out to 66.35%, 7%, and 0.3686%, and the second table will come out to 25.4%, 0.833%, and 0.0447%. Add these tables to get the overall odds, in which you will get 91.75%, 7.833%, and 0.4133%, with a rounding error of 0.0037%. Use this now complete and all inclusive table to determine that the average chest will contain 211 babies, and go from there. What math did you use?

This data comes from the squad busters wiki, where the remaining 10 percent after pulling 9 supers (which makes up 90 percent) is split as a 95 percent chance to ultras and a 5 percent chance to ultimates. The regular table will occur 26.273 percent of the time, and contains the regular pull values of 96.67 percent supers, 3.17 percent ultras, and 0.17 percent ultimates, with all information again coming from the squad busters wiki. in order to combine these into a single probability table to find out the overall odds, we multiply each probability in each table by the odds of that probability table occuring and add them up. so we have 73.727 percent times every value in the pity table and 26.273 percent multiplied by every value in the regular table. About the star chest. If you were to buy from the shop, you can pick which one to upgrade. But the problem is how many times you would have to refresh or wait until its in the shop again. But if we’re talking ultimate rarity… then star chests are your best bet
Archer queen was my first 4* thanks to the star chest. A lot of my commons are 70-80% of the way there as a mostly free to play player. I paid about $10 when the game was released but haven’t since.
I'm not sure if my calculations were totally correct and since I don't know the rarity drop rates of star chests, I'll leave it at the following: If you were to get all commons from the star chests, you'd get roughly 0.79x value compared to buying them from the shop. If you were to get all rares from the star chests, you'd get roughly 1.16x value compared to buying them from the shop. If you were to get all epics from the star chests, you'd get roughly 1.52x value compared to buying them from the shop. The truth of the value ratio from star chests compared to the shop probably lies somewhere between those values (though on the lower end) but overall I'd say it's probably worth it to go for the star chests.
I think if they offer more chest doubler drops the star chests could be a little more f2p friendly but other than that i like that they added them, we actually have a chance of getting multiple ultras and ultimate units that otherwise would take considerably longer...by a lot 😅

2:00 this happened to me with ultra BK, before the update I used my extra coins to only buy bk from the shop, and I got him to 6/10 3* and then I pulled ultra bk from a star chest 😂
150k = 1 star chest = 1 super evolution 150k = 75 chest tickets = 225-300 babies (if you're getting 3-4 babies average per game) (on average) = 20-30 classic evolution = 2-3 super evolutions. Hence, don't go for shortcuts.
I haven't researched this yet, but isn't 10k = 5 chest tickets? So 100k = 50 chest tickets? I checked the supercell store and only see coins for sale. Am I missing something? Honest question.

Extra babies need to turn into dust for conversation. The math may be wrong. The stars from extra normal and round are treated the same. Worth using multiplayers on normal super big chest because you’ll get like 60 normal vs 16 epic
If you get 3 Star it’s not worth, but if you get 4 or 5 Star it is worth. Well, if you compare the base price of 1 Star chest to the shop. Super luck based

When supercell gave the 10 star chests for free I got an ultra Jessie BUT, I don’t even have super Jessie, and I can’t get her anymore cuz everyone I get her it turns into more star tokens
There is something seriously backwards with this progression system, if they don’t fix it the game is gonna die. Star chests are a step in the right direction but good lord something feels truly awful about this lol. Especially for chisgule who spent an obscene amount of money on this game to be maxed, and now it’s essentially a complete waste. I doubt he’s gonna pull the trigger on doing it again.

Eh at the end of the day it’s better to just play for 2000 gold. You get 75 games worth from one chest worth and the units aren’t that much better

When you get a five star, you see two stars around the key that at the same time but when you tap tap, tap, tap tap tap

The math may be wrong. The stars from extra normal and round are treated the same. Worth using multiplayers on normal super big chest because you’ll get like 60 normal vs 16 epic
If you get 3 Star it’s not worth, but if you get 4 or 5 Star it is worth. Well, if you compare the base price of 1 Star chest to the shop. Super luck based
Mavis is the only Ultra I have and it seems like every time I get common chests I get Mavis babies that just disappear into the void haha
I think i got the most cursed battle healer. I pulled 1, the one i needed to unlock it, with my ten free chests. On the last one i opened a 4* battle healer. Which is also my only 4* i have currently

There is something seriously backwards with this progression system, if they don’t fix it the game is gonna die. Star chests are a step in the right direction but good lord something feels truly awful about this lol.
Especially for chisgule who spent an obscene amount of money on this game to be maxed, and now it’s essentially a complete waste. I doubt he’s gonna pull the trigger on doing it again.
