Not the original version which featured Nana "Coyote" Motijoane on vocals, who was hired as a session singer by producer, Malusi Mathaba for a low budget recording for a small company. The comrades and the oppressed of course turned the song into a big hit, bringing about the birth of the live band who then re-recorded the song as heard here.
Lead vocals - Eddie Adams, Jack Ngoka
    Guitars - Malusi Kenny Mathaba
    Keyboards - Thapelo Khomo
    Drums - Greg Francis
    Bass guitar - Pat Mokoka
    Percussion - Jerome Francis
For more insight into one of South Africa's greatest bands - largely ignored by the media and the music industry, for a number of reasons - watch out for a soon to-be-released book and documentary, "The Ozila Story".

The only band in SA - maybe in the whole world - that did everything for themselves. These 6 guys:-
    - managed themselves
    - promoted/marketed themselves with near zero company and media support
    - booked halls and put up posters themselves
    - owned their own equipment
    - owned their own transport
    - packed their equipment, ie no roadies
    - set up their equipment
    - sound engineered their shows
    - performed like wizards
    - packed up after the gig
    - partied like crazy
    - drove from one gig to another, ie. no drivers.
Are you surprised they scared the shit out of ALL SA bands and record companies 1986-1992?
No RIP yet. The boys are still kicking it!

Anthemic township pop-rock-funk-disco that exploded onto the South African kasi canvass in the late 80s, fuelling the angry comrades to grab the Nat apartheid machine by the scruff of the neck, forcing them to take heed of the cries of oppression, or else...!
Where are today's warriors to do the same to the current government?
    We're still suffering.

I have quite a sharp memory, I only heard this once when I was a kid,I grew up in late 90s & early 00s so idk much about 80s SA music, sad there isn't much info online either. I might know some songs but not know the artists. Paul Mnisi of Radio 2000 talked about this song & Ozila last week & I remembered it immediately then I found the one led by Nana Coyote when I searched it. I only know this version & I thought I was crazy, maybe it lived in my head😂. Thanks to Bra Kenny who linked me to this version🤩
