- Edit: I no longer play WoW so unfortunately I can't offer any new suggestions or changes. However as of July 2023 this method does still work and can get you the mount :)
Commentary of how to do a ZG Mount run as a Shadow Priest in phase 1 WotLK. This isn't a 'guide' however if you follow how I do it you'll surely be able to figure the rest out.

Nice, this still works in P3. Bit tricky though, took about 10 tries to get the right 'reset', I always found the boss would run back too fast so he would be reset the same instant the other zeolats would
It's always been finicky to pull off but it does work - I reckon in ICC gear you could burn them all down.
what do u use to attack the mobs on the last pull? i didnt see any dot go up or anything

I used a Shadow Word: Death.
It can be a little tricky to pull off but it's the best instant ability you have. You could use a Shadow Word: Pain but that might cause some issues...
Ended up with an extremely unusual outcome. Followed your guide, retriggered the reset adds, ran the boss out as the adds reset but the boss didn’t trigger phase 2 even tho he was leashed from the zealots? After I killed him, he did the death animation but wasn’t lootable. And then stood up again after the 15 second “resurrection” timer. And then proceeded to stand there… with 1 health.
Conveniently, he was attackable. And as a “Boss” that meant I could infinitely level weapon skills on him. But also.. didn’t work to be a lootable corpse :(
Did you just discover a new weapon skill meta? Sorry to hear it my dude, I honestly don't know what to suggest.
@@NoScrub if this is what failure looks like, I’m all for it. I unlocked the 4x 400-weapon skill achievement thanks to this bug LOL

I apologize for not saying this in the first comment, though, but I really appreciate the guide. I’m almost positive it will work, because the mobs behaved exactly as you said they would. All the way up until they bugged out. Unfortunate, but also probably not common, and although it didn’t give me a shot at the mount, it gave me weapons, skill farming. Sort of a win-win, and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without your guide. So thank you.
For anyone in late P2 wondering if this strat still works, it does! I just did it on my SP! Does take a few tries to get the pathing... what I did when I dragged them to the back I let him do one silence the started my ass hauling... if he casts it while running to the first rest you already messed up, he will not build the distance needed!

@@albanavllazagaj1795 Yeah it's tough timing and not 100% consistent unfortunately.
Not sure if this was mentioned in the video because i skipped to the tiger boss part, but you NEED movement speed on your boots to do this. Rocket boots will not work. The reason for this is because he will stop moving and cast silence on you when you are almost at the reset spot and with the movement speed boots this will not happen.

I didn't mention this in the video but you're right. Usually I wait out for 1 silence and then move on the mount. He may cast another one but he's usually far enough.

Yup, I've had friends that have gotten the mount from killing them both.
Is it possible to solo UP for Blue Drake?
Unfortunately I don't play WoW anymore but I can imagine with new gear you might be able to burn through it.
I suggest trying my talent tree, using indestructible potions and testing it out!

Hey is the raptor one possible as a mage?
I don't think the Raptor would be doable as a mage but I think if you have enough burst you could possibly do the tiger.

The adds evade now until boss is reset?
I'm not sure what you mean. The ads even as the boss is resetting but you can attack them if they've reset before him. It's delicate timing but it works.
Tried raptor for 30-40 attempts. Seems like regardless of not casting anything during threatening gaze i'll get guillotined for 10k which is basically unrecoverable.
Are you using indestructible potions and the inner fire glyph (with inner fire on)? They greatly reduce the damage you take.
@@NoScrub Yeah I was using both of those. I went back in again this morning with a spec that had imp pw:s and imp VE and that seemed to do the trick or i just stopped being shit.

This trick is not working on me. I mean, on the first pull, the boss run back faster than the mini bosses, so cos of that I cant repull the mini bosses, they evade. dunno maybe blizzard did fix this trick..
It worked 5 months ago from the last comment. I actually have some gametime now so I'll give it a test.

Yup, still worked - I pulled them back and managed to SWD the adds before the boss arrived.
@@NoScrub Thx man, I apreciate you effort. However, I do not understand why it’s not working on me! Could that be cos of sillence? I mean, as I remember, I had silence on every try I did. And the boss was reseting before the adds does.

It's not possible - I would have been out of Shadowform and immediately gone back into it.

@@NoScrub just did it with this strat on my SP. yeah its a bit tricky with the pathing, but eventually it works. u need to get as much space as possible between boss and adds.
Adding to what @Mmaakksss said, just did this on my priest as well. Took my quite a few tries but i walked the exact way as uploaded did. Great to have this working, hopefully it stays that way 😄
