If you start washing your walls from the bottom-up they said so if you're washing and it drips down it won't be on an area you haven't washed yet I thought you started the top-down so you have it going down instead of making a bigger mess for yourself, work smarter not harder. So many of these hints on here my grandma told me about God bless her.❤
@@rhodalindeman6752 it's been my experience if you wash from the top down the drips start to work on the grime before you get down that far so by the time you get there it's sort of pre washed and it leaves permanent tracks that will be visible till you paint over them. Maybe the walls in that rental will were grimier than yours.😉
Crackers don't absorb moisture. They would mold if that were the case, just like rice would swell and mold. Crackers and rice merely break up the clumps as you shake the salt out. You could use anything... Dried beans, marbles, I've even seen dice used. lol I never heard of putting rice in pepper mills but i can see how it would help keep the grinder free from gunk, hope no one's allergic to rice.😊
Red wine refrigerated works best on burns. Keep small spritz bottle in refrigerator filled with cheep red wine it will take the pain completely out of all kinds of burns and keeps it from getting infected .
I’ve heard of that, and I’ve tried it. That was a waste of hair spray on my husband’s shirt. Never got the stain out. I threw it away. That’s been about 20 years ago!!
Making my bed is something I've done forever, even as a kid. I can't stand to be in my room if my bed is unmade, my room seems to messy and gives me anxiety.
Professional cleaners wash walls from the bottom up. It has something to do with dirty water that goes down a wall sticks, and doesn't wash off the same that dirty water dripping down clean, damp walls allows the dirt to be quickly wiped back off, rather than sticking to the dry surfaces.
@uncommonwoman100 Please don't put butter on a burn! That old home remedy does more harm than good. Butter is pure fat which retains heat making the burn worse. Use very cool water on a burn - not ice. Ice can further damage the skin.
Dry rice in your salt works better
I've used popcorn kernels for many years...

Using crackers is wasteful and grandma was *never* that nor was she stupid!

Lining drawers with wallpaper works great, but make your life easier by only taping it in the drawer, and not glued down with adhesive.
Instead of candle wax on sticking drawers use bar soap it even smells better.
