Sounds Fantastic - I love the concept of sharing an idea on its journey of evolution and giving it time to breathe.......

A wonderful piece, Derek, and it sounds astonishingly good. I love the authoritative tone of the bass strings!

Your adaptation of Kora to guitar makes your sound very unique in the guitar world, thank you for these wonderful pieces you are making. I really do think your work will influence a lot of musicians in the future.

Just saw your concert last night, absolutely stunning. At first I thought it was just going to be boring, but after the first few song , i completely lost time and before I knew it was over.

Absolutely brilliant, Derek. Thanks for the videos. I must come see you play live soon again. It’s been years since catching you at “Straight No Chaser” in Cape Town. I so miss that wonderful space. Missed you at the Kennedy Center.

Some influences from Carlo Domeniconi I noticed - that's a good thing!

I was lucky enough to spend a week with Carlo in Turkey in the very same place he wrote Kuyunbaba. We taught for a week, complained about the amount of tourists since he had lived there, and played a duo concert which he refused to rehearse or even play together for. Fun times.

This is beautiful. Reminds me of some other outstanding modern classical pieces. Hope this gets used for a worthy movie or tv series. Will you be putting up the tab for purchase?
