Things we probably should have included: They are maple shells. They are smaller than traditional sizes. Toms are 10, 12, and a 14 floor tom (I'm only using the 12 and 14 right now)The kick is a 20" (with an Evans EQ pad inside). I love how clear they are and the thin shells give a nice bottom end. I dreamed about owning these after years of reading about them and seeing my heroes use them. When I bought them, I really couldn't afford it but came across a great deal (I had to race the 300 km's to Winnipeg to grab them). I've loved them ever since. They lived in a trailer and sat in whatever weather conditions central Canada had to offer (from -40C to +40C) - hauled out onto a stage and hit with par 64 lights. Amazing how they've stood up and still sound incredible. I use Evans G2 heads on the toms and have never had any issues with overtones and have never muted them in any way. I use Remo P3's on the kick and snare. I've tried other ones and just keep coming back to these. I use the white oak sticks because i find I kill the hickory ones too fast with rim shots. The oak stand up better, feel a little heavier, and (in my opinion) give a better 'crack' when hitting the snare.
