You could also try Maria Nila Black Colour Refresh. It's called refresher but it's actually also a semi permanent hair colour and from my experience it looks really black, unlike lunar tides, directions and the likes. It's also vegan and cruelty free. You can also use it to darken other semi permanent colours and it washes out really well. And BTW I love the cow print!!
If you don't want the colours to mix, wash your hair in cold water because this will prevent the follicle from opening and releasing as much of the dye
I’m in love with how it turned out but It would probably look more cow-like if you colored the space in between the black spots with white hair dye. 🐄 ✨
