Radio 1 Roadshow from South Bay, Scarborough 21 July 1993 with Gary Davies. This clip shows the audience warm-up with Gary, Smiley Miley and producer John Leonard.
Still got the Badges and T-Shirts from a few Roadshows. I was with the Fair that used to follow It around In the Essex region. It was great, Seen a lot of bands and groups who went on to be famous. They were warm ups on the roadshow. Take That, Bros, Echobelly, Keane, U-2, Pepsi and Shirley (from Wham), Londonboys, and whole load of others. Nice to hear the 900 Number at the End. Thanks for the Upload.
great memories of the radio 1 Roadshow since the 70s miss it now
How times have changed. Thanks for the memories.
I loved listening to the Radio 1 roadshows, thanks for uploading. Good memories
Wow, a state of the art FM radio to be won.

I went to a Radio 1 Roadshow on the last day of April 1976 with DLT at the helm.

I was there. WOW. Cant believe someone videoed it!
Radio 1 was 100% better 20 Years ago
I have to agree far better back then
Today it's totally crap
👍
I love the contrast between that slick, long-winded, upbeat intro and the miserable bunch standing there listening to it.
Hilarious how everyones just sat down
This was the 10am warmup before it went live at 11am.
Does no-one have any clips from the Bridlington one in 97/8? That's the one I went to and would love to see some clips from it
The BBC would have all these shows recorded ... every one of them. Why not release them!? Let us see them all properly again.
Unlikely that the BBC kept many roadshow recordings. They didn't even keep the first one from 1973 with Fluff.
I've been to road shows before but this is positively boring
