I generally don't comment on videos but this one is just out of this world. We are so lucky to have access to such melodies. Imagine the people in older times, they had to wait for a year so that a festival would take place where a maestro would play only once for maybe half an hour. And people wait reminiscing that performance for another year. I feel blessed

So, so true!! I've also heard funny things regarding the bagpipes! I recall Danny Bhoy, Comedian, saying that the Scots must have got the last instrument & the worst, out of the bottom of the bag. The loud & noisy Bagpipes! lol I am part Scots & i do love the Bagpipes, but like many out there, too much of it & i'm literally done! Fun fact....The Bagpipes originate from the Middle East & not Scotland, as many believe. The Scots did however, perfect their own version of the Bagpipe, but originally, it was never a Scottish, North Western European instrument, but Middle Eastern.

How beautiful Majestic Taj mahal and the beautiful Indian sitar a Mixture of Persian and classical Indian. When I listen to this I get pictorial image of Indian Subcontinent and the kingdoms from Ashoka to Chandragupta to Tughlaq's and the Mughals and the great economic power India was and British looted the subcontinent, how it could be again become economically important at par if not more than Unites States, if certain road blocks are removed - roaches ahem ahem politicians.
Therefore my only one prayer to the creator to give my mother India its original place in the world, to give back her prestige and honor. Give her children the ability to have the knowledge to keep her prosperous and safe.
It gives me goosebumps. You can only feel that when you KNOW the history and in and outs of the region. Its just amazing.

This music is my way of dealing with all the negative energy I've accumulated during the day. Smoke some high grade cannabis then just relax and let the bad drain from my being.

I play this doing my yoga and when just practicing the basic belly dancing moves very slowly in pace with the music... as my way of being on tune with my body and meditating the mind at the same time ...,

"My India" : sitar, music of the temples, Ayurveda in Kerala, Rajasthan, the Taj, the Golden Temple and also the people (some people) like this incredible courageous Sikh of Punjab I met and the weak but so smart Rajasthani for which I prayed.
I found lots of things in India : beauty, sometimes true violence, places I lost myself, places I found the real me, places I could recover from physical and spiritual pain, places where an energy loves you, defend and protect you....
Then one day - because of the pain with an ultimate and unexpected bad experience - illusion took all its senses and India became a stranger to me.
9 years of passion has been gone and 9 years is a cycle in life.
One day, I know I'll have stars in my eyes talking again about my many trips to India and experiences with this land, its people... and this day, I would remember the smell of the land.
I will leave this earth with some gold, and this gold will be the most beautiful places and experiences I have lived in my life.
For sure, India, "My India", will be one of these golden treasures I will bring with me on the other side of the conscience ❤

Two things: 1. I really love the combination of relaxing sitar music with soft nature sounds, great.
    2. It's really destroying the relax effect and meditation when you putting commercials between the flow.
