- During our trip to Nagano, we camped at the Kirigamine Highlands.
The whole area was shrouded in mist and the scenery was very magical.
At night one could hear the sound of rain and the temperature dropped.
For camp dinner, I used Nagano ingredients that I bought at a roadside station.
Some of the vegetables were new to us, but we had a delicious dinner.

We are a family of three: husband (Shin), wife (Ayako), and daughter (Yuri), both around 40 years old and our only daughter.
We bought the campervan of our dreams, the Corde Leaves, so that our daughter could have a variety of experiences!
We will enjoy our hobby of outdoor activities, such as camping, staying in the car, mountain climbing, and fishing, while traveling all over Japan.
In addition, we would like to share with you how we made the campervan more comfortable by DIY and our daily life using the camper.

First, I love the cabin/tent attachment to the camper van. With this and the equipment you guys have, I want to have the exact same things and go camping. Second, the memories you guys are making with Yuri are amazing. Third, the relationship between you and your husband is so sweet. The love as a family is very apparent. And last, they places you go and camp at are very relaxing/informative. So happy when I see a new video by you guys. Still looking at older ones I haven't seen before. A fan here in America.
I hope to find someone and go camping someday too.

Love this! The scenery change from "normal" to mystique when the fog set in and to a bright, sunny in the following morning, was very nice. I like the pumpkin soup recipe and will try it next week. Yury is a total sweetheart - helping mum and dad pitch the tent and arranging the furniture. Well done, little darling!

Butternut squash is delicious to use as filling for raviolli and serve with brown butter and sage.
You can also boil the butternut squash by itself till it is just done ( fork or knife pierces easily) and mash it with a little butter, brown sugar, and cream. It was one of my mother’s favorites for Thanksgiving, and I still make it. It goes quite well with pork or fish…I am happy you found some!
And sometimes folks make soup in chicken broth and put apples in it, too…and a little onion…😃😃😃😃

That was a Butternut Squash (not a pumpkin).
Cut the hard part off, cut the meat into chunks,
and cook until tender.
a common recipe is to mix with butter & brown sugar/
Very Tasty !
That sweet & sour pork looked Very Good !
The more you cook sweet corn, more of the starch turns to sugar.
Try frying leftover sweet corn, it gets sweeter .

You are a wonderful cook and did a nice job cutting up the butternut into small pieces for soup. The skin is harder than most. In America we call those butternut squash.. it's my favorite type. I usually just cut it into much larger pieces with tough skin left on and boil separately or even bake it halved or quartered.. Add butter and salt while cooling.. the natural sugars make it hotter! I hope I'm making sense. I love your camping set-up to connect the tent which adds a safer outdoor room and without bugs! 😄💖
