- Is Subsonic Ammo or Supersonic Ammo better for you? Well... subs are way, way quieter and way more fun to hunt with at relatively close ranges. Supersonic Ammo, on the other hand, does have more linear velocity and has more knockdown power and is better at longer ranges.
I keep my Sugar Weasel / Trash Panda loaded with Subs; all my other mags are loaded with Supers. I figure if I burn through 30 rounds of subs at someone, then I might need spicy bois for a longer engagement.

I keep the 1st 9 rounds as subs, all else supers. After 9 rounds of subs, I’m not making any friends, thus it’s all about terminal at that point.

I’ve had my Mini Fix for about a month now and have been really impressed with the accuracy of my subsonic handloads. I’m really looking forward to replacing the 9mm can I’ve been using with a .30 cal suppressor, to see the difference. Bought one today, waiting to certify. My last suppressor only took 4 days from purchase to approval.
It also just makes you appreciate subsonic with a suppressor when you alternate them with supers in a magazine
I have to say got my first Sugar Weasel and I'm amazed on hiw Fantastic this SW is. 16in and it's so lite. The trigger the upper lower. Just WOW this is by far ranked top 3 and you can choose the order. From Geissele to Radion to Daniel Defense this Q AR is a phenominal AR.Need to get another upper. 13inch next

I’m in multiple groups at this point with no one consistently getting anywhere near 1 moa.
I’ve already DM you guys on Instagram once after you requested it with no response.
At this point, it has been an extremely frustrating experience as an 8.6 owner.
TC encore 8.6, Q fix, multi faxon bolt and semi autos. Every gun I’ve seen shoot or post groups for this is getting now 2.25-4.5 moa with subs ranging from 260gr-350gr.
U guys as a company need to put out some actual load data instead of these “snarky” videos.

Took my new Mini fix in 300BO to the 100yrd range and was blown away at the sub 2 (sometimes creeping 1) MOA groups I was getting with 220 grain. Thats taking a deer in any range I would be shooting!
Hearing so much about an 8.6 and its twist rate of 1-3 and how great it is makes me want to test other affordable subsonic cartridges in a 1-3 twist barrel and see if the 8.6 actually is special.
Q, why not? Why not make us a badass Pitviper style 2011 with a comp block and deep groove rifling, and a faster twist rate on a bull barrel. Look at the Dan Wesson DWX for the grip and look at the Pitviper for the comp shape. I’ve loved that look since I saw my first Desert Eagle and the Jericho 941. Best looking shape to put on the end of a pistol 💯 🥳 Sorry, I just think that would be AWESOME! 😎

@@donh1572 I use a EXPS 3-2 just fine with my Sugar Weasel & Trash Panda with a 50 yard zero with Supers.

because supers are loud af
silencing a short barrel, then asking it to be quiet with a lot of gunpowder, say 25gr of powder is asking a lot

Im curious what the barrel life is on the 8.6? My guess is it has a long life but im not shure if the twist changes that. (just an idiot's thoughts)
tbh the "added energy" is minimal. do the math. the terminal performance is however better bc of the expanding pedals, the contact area of the pedals is a lot more when it spins 3x more in the "body".
if the energy was so much higher, youd also get deprociable velocity. the dimensions and mass are really small. were talking a few ft lbs last time i ran the number

the aurface area is squared or raises exponentially. a:pi* (r^2) and cuts 3x more flesh than a 1:9 twist
youd have to run a calc determining linear ft of flesh cut per pedal.
but a rough number is 3x and total area
i like 300% instead of 2%

Would you trust a Bear Creek arsenal AR in 8.6?
Just get it, take it to your ffl, have them look it over (maybe even a complete disassemble and reassemble) at least as far as safely using the firearm. If reliability issues arise, make little fixes as you go
Or if you’re just looking for a cheap 8.6 build, buy a decent barrel and bcg, and budget out other parts a little at a time

Do you guys have any engineers? maybe they could explain in scientific terms how any of this works in a quantifiable way. For instance a fast twist maximizes energy, what does that do to felt recoil, flash and sound in a way thats clearly measured and is comparable. Nothing is made of ballistics gell except ballistics gell so bubble gets bigger for a second is not as amazing as block absorbs X total forces.

Here is a good idea: how about you figure out how to make 8.6 Blk ammo affordable enough for, you know, the average working Joe who bought your cool invention but found it not very practical to shoot because of the cost of ammo.
This should be taken into account in the first place before buying the firearm
You k ew the ammo was expensive before you bought it. Also the 8.6 wasn’t intended to be a range you. It was intended for hunting. Buy it. Zero it. Practice a little and then go hunt. You won’t need much ammo if you’re a proficient shooter already. I would say have a better understanding of what you’re purchasing.

Q made for suppressor use only because it's really quiet, unfortunately they can't make big bucks from marketing to only the suppressor fan boys so they are attempting to sell it as a hunting round.
