Loved the jacket, looked great and the stitching really added to it. I’m very tempted to get the sashiko babylock machine, but very pricey here in the UK. 🙄
I am so glad you demonstrated this machine. It looks really interesting! I'm sure a lot of us have it on our wish list! You are such a great teacher .love your sweater.
I’m getting very curious about how sergers and cover hem machines can help with my quilting, both from a structural and esthetic perspective. This machine is fascinating.
@@tammyeaton4791 I confess I have never pieced a quilt with a serger but I know it can be done. I also know that these decorative stitches could add so much dimension to quilted jackets, bags, purses, etc. It really opens the mind to possibilities.
@@thekirksiffs5285 it really is fun to try different yarns and threads. And they are supposed to have different inserts for the front of the foot to hold the threads.
Very interesting Rosemary but what’s the difference between the Babylock Applaud and the Babylock Primo? I don’t like it that both machines don’t have a freearm. They are very expensive and I only want a coverstitchmachine with freearm. I have the Janome coverpro 2000 at this moment and this one has a freearm. The 3000 has a deckstitch.
@@carolineprijs-wijnen4487 Ihave to admit I don’t know anything about the primo. I will see what I can find out. As for the free arm, I would say that yes it would come in handy. A lot of the serger/coverhem machines have them now.
The difference that I can see is that the primo is not made for the thicker threads. The Applause even has a bypass for really thick threads that won’t work through the regular thread guide. The thread I used was pretty thick though so I can’t imagine going any thicker.
@@enchantingrosemary8776 Hallo Er is geen verschil. Babylock Applaud is de naam in Canada en US en de Babylock Primo is de naam van de nieuwe Babylock in diversen landen in Europa .
Beautiful jacket , I just got my machine yesterday

@@Jackie-zq2xs the Sashiko machine is pricey here too. And as far as I know that is all it does.

Thanks for the video. This looks fun! Could you give details on which Madeira thread is good for this?
I am honestly more excited about this machine than the new TOL sewing machines out this year.
