Let me tell you how it works-
The globe is magnetic and have two poles
1.North pole (positively+ charged)
2.South pole (negatively- charged)
And even the stand is made on the principal of electromagnetism and has a property of bar magnet.The stand also have two end
1.Upper part - negative-
2.Lower part - positive+
So,as we all now the basic principles of magnetism like poles(+ +) repel and unlike pole(- +) attract so as both the pole attract with similar power and the force of attraction get cancel at the point of equilibrium (centre).
Conclusion: So the magnet is attracted from both the sides with similar forces so it remains in levitation ( floating in air)
