95% we had a lovely sail down from Kas to Gocek today, not too hot and a nice breeze. Finished of by a great meal and then Olly, what more can you want.

We had a trailer flip that seized had to cut bar and sleves off , had new sleeves made couple thou bigger than rod ,drilled and tapped , grease nipple installed 3 years on still free😊

Richard at Dove farms was spraying the flea beetle at night, as that's when their active and it also cuts down on hitting unintended species. But I'm not sure you use insecticides? It's not just the leaf being nibbled it's the eggs they lay in the stem that hatch next year and destroy the crop... Good luck 😊

The seals that were sticking together, the phenomenon is known as ringing, happens when 2 highly polished metal surfaces are pushed together, they effectively become one. It's used in engineering to "ring" guage blocks together to make stacks of specific sizes.
Yeah the you can wring gauge blocks also known as slip gauges ( these are extremely accurate hard steel or ceramic gauges, the flatness tolerance of a 10 mm slip is +/- 0.00005 mm to +/- 0.0002mm depending on the grade of slip.) You are able to wring them together as they are so flat that you can exclude all the air between surfaces enabling the air pressure external hold them together. The faces of those seals and bearings most also be very flat and highly polished to wring together. PS don’t drop them😮
Have you ever tried putting diesel on seized up metal joints ? Find it can migrate down the rusty parts as good as any W D 25 mm rain with me in last 24 hours
Try going to bearings r us or something simply bearings. Saves us a ton of money on little seals and bearings. Usually, they have what we need in stock.

The flee bettle situation is now just crazy. I Don’t know why the NFU aren’t trying for a derogation to use the seed treatment. Instead we spray broad acres with insecticides, where a specific seed treatment planted into the ground would be more environmentally friendly. Come on NFU earn your membership £££. The way it’s going there won’t be much OSR next year.

I'm all for protecting the bees they are vital to our ecosystem but I am not sure how a bee would be in contact with a seed buried in the ground, they rely on nectar and pollen so I'm struggling to see the risk post by a seed coating....80% today, just tired
Personally I think that the John deere 7830 has moved on not seen in the background since Liv used it to turn the moist straw, I can't see the 936 going, after paying out to get the fuel problems fixed, having paid for it to be turned into a black beauty as that is his favourite Fendt model, we'll have to see..... The JCB 4220 is the one that due to be swapped! I could see the payment being some near the same. The Valtra is only a 3KM slower on top speed. Plus the valtra has the built GPS and ISOBus screen to make it more capable in the field. I think the repayments on the 724 would be far higher and its your favourite tractor not that would stop a good business deal.
Those seals are called duo cone seals and are machined matched pairs. You really shouldn’t touch the metal sealing face with anything including your fingers. It’s essential that they are spotlessly clean when assembled.

Wait for the pigeons to arrive. They love a crop that's not gotten away like it should. The GL42 licence is not fit for purpose. I could have shot hundreds on the stubbles but I'm not allowed to and the population in my village is off the clock, so much so, a local farmer lost 20 acres to pigeons this season. Mind you, he relied on someone who paid him to shoot - yes I lost my shooting and I was able to shoot any day in the week - and they only shot at weekends (which allowed the numbers to build to about a thousand a day) so serves him right. A loss of say £1,600 for a gain of £500 and then any profit on the potential crop.

Not teaching to suck eggs but is there a generic number on bearings ie tmk for timkins. I saved a load rebuilding my land rover gearbox that way. 40 quid for 1 bearing is nuts 😥
Cheap creep for seizing paraffin. Can always use heat without great risk then. Agree with drill and power grease for slight penetration into pin is little different to forming a grease scroll.
Poor design on the lowloader ramp, thought it would have had greasers on the underside, so it could be greased with the ramps raised. Looks like it going to need a bit of heat to free it. MF 1200 straight swap for the Valtra🤣

Re the seized hinges on the plant trailer. If you weld the broken hinges the heat will get I & free them

Best thing by several miles for unseizing stuff is Acetone and ATF (auto transmission fluid) 4 to 1 or there abouts.
