Indiana Rail Road Chicago Subdivision

The Indiana Rail Road is one of the USA's fastest growing regionals. In this program you enjoy action on between Louisville, Kentucky and Terre Haute, Indiana on the railroad's Chicago Subdivision.
You'll enjoy watching Indiana Rail Road trains using trackage rights on CSX's old Monon line just days before the Hoosier Subdivision closed down, and passing a multitude of rare, operating semaphores. You'll also seen trains running down the now discontinued street running in Bedforrd, IN.
You'll then follow the line all the way to Terre Haute, and get to see some of the busy rail scene there.
Enjoy seeing the INRD's SD90's in the classic red and white paint. An interesting visit back in time with scenes that can no longer be repeated.

I just drove through Orleans yesterday and the tracks are currently being removed between Bedford and Orleans. Very sad to see the once Monon mainline being destroyed 😢

It was only about a year after this that Indiana Railroad gave up the trackage rights south and pulled up the rails from the CRANE base to Bedford. Just a couple of weeks ago, CSX pulled up the tracks from Bedford to just north of New Albany. While CRANE North is still operating, CRANE south is completely dead now. The rest of INRD is still running, though.
On the other hand, the Midland sub got beefed up and almost everything runs over it at some point now.

Sad all that rail is being pulled. Are the two train depots still in Bedford still there? I always like going around taking pictures of the old depots.

Train seems a bit over-powered to me - 11 cars for an SD40 and an SD70!
