Now keep in mind that, at the end of KKHTA (which is firmly NOT part of Touhou canon), Koishi forcibly carves her eye open again, but the ramifications of this action may never be shown.

The original creator tried to put them in as the story was progressing in the middle and kinda fumbled because they didn’t exist when it started. Like when he had to include junko right towards the end of the series in a single frame dead. If there ever is a remake you could just have her be imprisoned the same way chang’e is or just have the lunarian gods dogpile on her instead of the mechs. The war for gensokyo could be a little longer. The fight with yorihime would play out mostly the same but you could have reimu summoning gods trying to hit yorihime but her summoning is far superior and yorihime in kkhta was also nerfed because she didn’t summon a single god. Segume would be imprisoned because her ability to reverse future events with the slip of a tongue is seen as a liability like LOLK (I know it was her plan but it did screw up the lunarians plan to fight back). I fully agree with less gore and the lore would need re written a little for the beginning as later it just when full evangelion and there has to be an explanation to how the moon makes everyone crazy as that was never really explained other than it just happened.

The darkest hour is being changed hell and back but adding more to it a little. Current Youkai will be in the part 19 8/9 state where they look like human but have their powers to a small amount. The human capturing will only have 20 human survivors in the bunker(that is one of the new things, Sanse’s backstory will be shorten because I think it dragged on and many more You can ask any questions

The fact that Sentaku-bune has created 3 of the (imo) most recognizable designs of characters within a doujin work that immediately instil fear is amazing: Everyone knee-deep into Touhou can recognize the KKHTA Koishi, but the Toyohime and Koakuma designs are equally threatening and you can immediately tell that their whole design process was to be as freaky and scary as possible. Not to mention Yukari's eye-covering half-bang is an icon of the series and immediately makes you feel sorrow or sadness at seeing her. I honestly can't think of many, if any other doujin creators who's designs for characters have become their own icons of their work.
