I'm 12 going on 13 and I jus wanna be in the hair salon cuttin up a check, but I struggle so much because I don't have all of the opportunities and resources that other people have to turn their ambitions into goals, and goals into achievements. But from hearing she about how practice makes perfect, I believe that I will progress and I am more willing to put the work in. I been trying to be a trainee or apprentice in hair salon for the longesttttt but it just seems like like theirs never a opportunity for me and girl I barely do a straight cornrow but now I feel better so thank you soooo much girl 'cause like, I'ma be up there with you one day.
Imma hairstylist, you said you're 12? Try going to an African Braiding shop. Most times they'll let you shadow. You might be too young and nowadays they want you to have some sort of license or papers in the salons bc they are cracking down on unlicensed stylists and giving fines to the salons. Contact your local salons and see what they say, somebody's always willing to help. Hope this helps you

I don’t think shine n jam is good for edges i use it to braid but not to lay edges. You need an appointment she control, those are thicker and hold longer.
