Great ideas, Demien. I pretty much flatten every board that hits my CNC these days. Between the possible snipe and tendency to use boards too small for the planer, it's just become habit to take care of it on the CNC. Also, love the idea of using it for plug cutting. I use dowels when making hand planes on my CNC and I've been wanting to use graduated sizes as a design idea. No worries on dowel sizes or materials any more.
Purple heart has a high iron content and gets it's color from oxidation. After processing it i.e. sanding and planing it put it in the sun for a few hours flipping it after a few hours. The purple will return them put your finish on.
I really like that I can flatten much smaller projects with my CNC that I just can’t do with my surface planer.
Great points you covered using the CNC. Thanks for sharing this informative video..
Thank you!!

We bought them very close to the same time , great machine. You could have expanded on more , templating replacement, cutting bow ties , and much more
Yup, there are many more directions that I may look at in subsequent videos.

Thanks. Didn’t know that.
One of these days i need to get my garage cleaned out so I can do more wood working.
Also, never put a sanding mop in the router to sand a project! It runs too fast. I found that out the hard way. LOL
Oh dear! Hadn't even considered trying that.
Maybe if you did it with a spindle it could work, since you can slow down a spindle to a crawl.
Good evening
