Hello mate, Found you through Blue_squadron's vids. You are an amazing guy! Keep it up hehe.
I am not sure if you figured out the instant accel/drifting part. I would do my best to explain it to you (*easy way for the beginners*) hehe:
- Start with W+shift this your horse starts sprinting and the practice a bit the drifting mechanics ( S+D/A, depending the direction you want to drift towards).
When you get confortable with the drifting, start with the following sequence:
- W+Shift till you start sprinting and press F. When your horse starts accelerating, release W+Shift and close to the end of the instant accell start drifting (S+D/A while still holding F) repeat this every few seconds close to the end of your acceleration.
So the combo is like this:
- W+Shift then F for acceleration, release W+SHIFT and keep drifting with S+D/A while Holding F.
I hope this makes sense and helps :D!

Awesome, thank you for the detailed tutorial. I will continue to practice it, but I am not great at this. This game features mechanics which are far more difficult than any other I have ever played. The learning curve is steep but very exciting.

You are right about the game mechanics, they are strange in the beginning but with time, it gets engraved in you.

That means she is very used to nurturing newbies.
I got the Infi HP pot in 3 days grinding. It is much easier.
Infi MP Pot is like 2-3 weeks grind for me.
I still think you should've bought the MP pot instead but it is still okay man.
BDO is a grinding game. Some want to chill and lifeskill their way up. The end game is PVP.
Also pls don't spam use the "530% Combat EXP Scroll" those are very rare, PA sells them in like once in 2-3 years.
Not to mention they can be stacked with other Combat EXP Scrolls to further boost your Combat EXP Gain.

Btw. Thank you for your service! I’m also a vet and ironically I live in Japan rn. Been following this game before it’s release in 2014 to pc and been playing since 2018 on console. I recommend a few things and I don’t want to see you burn yourself out of time or money for this game.
Back then I had to wait for ninjas release. So I was a warrior main until then. But I traditionally play rogue classes and stealth/fighting games.
Warriors animations are badass, however if I were to go by the advice of playing what looks cool I wouldn’t have a main and would constantly reroll because a lot of classes look cool.
So here’s my take:
Play the class you tend to enjoy 1st. To save you sometime because grinding on this game is no joke
If your a player that normally plays mage classes, this is not the game you want to skip out on being mage and same for every other class.
Believe it or not if you tend to play classes that are big power houses, you don’t want to skip out on bezerker. Here on BDO he’s one of the best pve grinders and pvp 1vX and 1v1. Also new player friendly and can grind efficiently with lower gear in places he shouldn’t. He’s a fn unit. If you tend to play those types I recommend for starters Succ Zerk or Awakened Striker. You will coast through the game while entertaining your audience with more of an ease.
