    The GUI is top notch as is the EQ, but there is a big problem applying it to speech. Bloom boosts and attenuates where you would expect it to, but the amounts that it is boosting and attenuating are way off. For instance, it doesn't attenuate anywhere near enough in the lows which results in the mud remaining and it is boosting around 1k way too much on a file that I was using for testing. The boosting around 1k results in a nasaly sound. Given that there are no presets for speech, I'm wondering if it isn't intended for speech?

      I've used both and I can get satisfying results a lot faster with Gullfoss. It's also somewhat more true to the source to my ears, but that may be just because of how I tweak them. Bloom takes longer for me to dial in, so I still use Gullfoss 95% of the time. At this point, I only use bloom on minor tracks in a mix when I can relax a bit, get some practice with it and see what I can do. Otherwise, it's go go go with Gullfoss.

At the end of the day 95% of what this does is achievable with manual labor. If you dont do music professional and time isnt money then you also dont really need this. Honestly guys, even before Bloom, but now definitely, you are way in the front comparing to all the other plugin companies in this "next generation software" race making. Everything in ur products is so intuitive, simple and incredibely transparent, just way beyond anything on the market. Your vision, from the design , to the all functions and modifiers on these plugins (there is just everything needed to achieve anything with the sound , still for all types of sound editors , meeting all needs, depends on what they heading to), Limits were pushed heavily with previous 2 plugins in sound design and mix-mastering duties. but this is really something!! So subtle, but still revolutionary, My life wouldnt be the same without these 3 :))
    200$ is the price that also speaks for itself , when it comes to the conversation about how good humans look like :) You are having great mission on this planet , and this form of life experience.
    My deep bow to ur Excellency.

    Bloom sounds like magic! This is similar to spectral OTT with a natural behavior based on psychoacoustics. I tried it and was amazed! Bloom sounds like a fantastic and REAL "soundgoodizer" on any material (even on a master bus). In addition, it adjusts each material in a pleasant way - it speeds up the audio production process and makes every mix +20% better and "finalized"! Excellent job! I hope you will get a lot of rewards!

    • @mrnelsonius5631
      @mrnelsonius5631 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@oeksoundmakes me wonder if Bloom can “know” the fundamental of a signal by analyzing the overtone series. The issue with some “dynamic resonance” plugins I’ve found is that they’ll unknowingly treat the fundamental as a resonance. Bloom sounds great in the demo. Congrats on the release :)

  • @fescolfaro

    Also this is similar to "equalizer" from waves factory, which could've been acquired with loyalty and intro prices for and 60€. Your total revenue from this price point is off, I'll wait until (and if) it becomes more reasonable and i believe lots of customers will wait too.

    • @sciolo2749
      @sciolo2749 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you compare Equalizer to Bloom applied to speech then you'll see that Equalizer works well and can be configured (relative amounts to boost and attenuate by). Bloom doesn't boost and attenuate by anywhere near the correct amounts which leaves mud and creates a nasaly sound. I'm hoping oaksound are able to fix it for speech.

    • @erestube
      @erestube 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Try it and check your results. Some really shitty sounding recordings might need an extra layer of frequency removal. You could use Soothe to focus in on one or two frequencies that Bloom is not cleaning up to your liking. Think of Bloom at the macro level and Soothe at the micro level. May not sound as fresh, but, hey, it's a shitty recording! Or, you could re-record. It won't have the same feel as the original, but in five years, you'll never know the difference.

  • @ReNoMellow
    @ReNoMellow 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Looks very promising. Gonna give a try.
    I think it miss 3 obvious feature that would make this plug in shine above other "automatic dynamic eq"
    1) define a tonal target curve by sidechaining and/or loading a reference track or signal.
    2) Split the signal into attack and sustain (or AD and SR) So you can have different tonal action on both transient and sustain. For drums, it would be the perfect tool to shape the sound the way you want and get, for example, bright and controlled attack with a warmer and livy sustain.
    3) A learn function that allow to draw a fixed curve based on a 10-15 second learned signal. Would be super useful for FOH mixing.
    You learn the signal for 15 second, then freeze and keep the curve as is (no more dynamic processing) and then plug-ins turns into 0 latency mode while remaining static. This would make soundcheck almost "automatic" for any newbie musician/sound engineer
