My mother bought this camera in 1998 when I was going to attend photography school. After 21 years it's still functional. it's an amazing camera. The next days I' m going to take some shots again after too many years. Thank you for sharing this. By the way, Great Pictures!
Cool that this new fashion lens works with this old camera. With the EF50mm 1.8 STM film can be pushed to the sharpness limit. But the Kodak Gold200 us not not the sharpness limit of film photography. The grain size is limiting the resolution on film. Great shots.
Canon eos cameras are good. There are many BW films to choose and chemicals to develop your own film. Its really easy. Get a cheap enlarger while they are still cheap( prices going up) and print your own photos on paper in darkroom aka bathroom, easy

I, and others, were responsible for photography sports, fashion, school life.... develop the film, print the pictures to the desired size and deliver them to the paper or yearbook team. I can still smell the D76.
I found the Elan ii version at a thrift shop the other day for 8 bucks. It's missing the focus select knob but still focuses, and I usually focus manually any way. It's a really cool shooter with tons of features. Will enjoy shooting it along side my Nikon N90S, AE-1, OM-1, and Nikon D40. Great video. Thanks.

R project my camera just arrived!! I cant seem to find out where the off button is. Lol. Where is it? And hiw do you meter for this camera? Do you use a lower iso than box speed or do you just increase the exposure metering? Thanks! :)
For the off button to the left of the camera, turn to the red "L" symbol, I suggest if the camera is not used for a long time the battrey must be removed. for ISO adjusted to those on film roll. for metering mode I always use evaluative mode. good luck good luck :)

Fun fact, the battery grip can be found for around the same price as one 2cr5 battery. I bought my grip for $20. Then you can use cheepo AA batteries to power it.
@@Rinoo_CW I have the grip but now prefer to use RECHARGEABLE 2cr5s! Less bulky. For 32€ on Amazon you have a charger & 2 batteries, so you can always have one in your pocket when needed! 🙂

I just one of these amazing cameras from an auction on EBay but the problem is that the latch of the door doesn’t lock and the back of the camera opens, does somebody else have the same problem?
I also experienced the same problem after 2 years of use, the latch door on the film roll could not be locked, that is a disadvantage of the Canon eos 50e / IIE camera the rear door hook is easily damaged because the hook is made of plastic
I found a few of my grandpa's old film cameras and this was one of them! Does anyone know how to work the self-timer on it? I don't know a lot about film and I can't tell if I'm just using it wrong or if I need to get it fixed. Thanks!
Just to the front and left of the Command Dial is the Self Timer button that also activates the IR remote switch. Press this button and the Self Timer indicator appears in the LCD. If you press the shutter, you will have 10 seconds before the shutter fires. This should give you time to get into the picture yourself. The red light on the front of the camera will blink every second and speed up for the last two seconds before it fires. The beeper will also sound during this time if you don’t have the beeper turned off. With custom function #5 set to "1", the self timer is reduced to a 2 second delay with the mirror raising as soon as you press the shutter.

hi ! i saw that you were using the EF 50mm lens typically used for dslr. kinda wondering if when using the film camera, can u change the lenses, because i might want to use different lens for different shots ? or will that affect the film roll, like will it be exposed ?
yes I use EF lenses on this camera, it is very safe if you want to replace the lens and the film will not be exposed, because the mirror on the camera is closed if we do not press the shutter

if the canon eos 50e is compared to the canon eos 5, the canon eos 5 will definitely be better, because the canon eos 5 has more focal points than the canon eos 50e. and for AF in low light, eos 5 is better. for the Canon EOS 5 exposure meter option, there is a spot meter option. ada beberapa foto yang di edit tapi nggak semuanya sekitar 3 foto, itu pun di edit hanya nurunin highlightnya dan white aja kl adobe lightroom. pakai kamera film juga ya mas ?

using a battery grip with AA batteries will be more efficient than using a 2CR5 Battrey

MF I think stands for Manual Focus, if you have no lens attached the shutter will not fire.

Don't bother using the quartz date panel on the back. It maxes out to 2018 before resetting to 1994.

This is a film camera. You don't adjust white balance, the "film" dictates that. Most film is daylight balanced.
