Ive watched countless of tutorials, and none of them explain how you can apply a certain material on a specific surface of an object except you sir! Thank you!!
Can I just say, I appreciate all these tutorials you're doing. I learnt 3DS Max in University and now I need it again for work, but there's so much university did not teach or even covered. These tutorials are clear, straight to the point and easy to understand. Thank you 😊
You're such a great tutor that will have a great impact on my 3DS MAX career, I really really love the kind of presentation you make its so easy and fun to follow along, thanks and much love from this side.
I have watched many tutorials. I also add my favourites. None of them teaches as this video. Now, I deleted others in my favourite. THANK you very much for the video. ❤👍👍👍
I love your tutorials about getting started in 3DS Max. Thank you so much for your great job ❤️ You explain everything so good that everything seems easy and understandable.
you are such a pleasant person to listen to, there is one instructor on youtube that has nice models but I find him just too hard to watch and listen for the character preference hahahaha you are great! I can watch this endlessly
You won't be able to create standard scanline materials until after you have set the render engine to be Scanline. Then those materials will be visible. The default renderer is now Arnold, that's why you'll need to change it. Thank you!
I'm gonna to give u thousand of likes and thanks to these videos help me a lot in rendering, by the way I'm seeking for Arnold materials' making and render setting tutorials for my work. Hope that I can learn and explore Arnold materials and Arnold rendering technique in your channel as soon as possible~ Thanks so much Sir !!
Again I tried to find some yank tutorials, they made it soooo you expect that they can tell us more about this junk software but what do you know I again end up with my friends the Germans well well well what about that, very well explained ! It is like the people at Autodesk really do NOT want people to use their products, Sketch is a nice program and Fusion 360 as well but this ? It is amazing how it is constructed, very nice video !
thanks for this amaizing video. I got a little problem can't solve this. After I drag and dropped the material sampler from the material editor to the selective object it does not showing the texture, it is only one colored. Do you have any idea what I need to set or thick or anythig to be shown nicely? Thanks ,Viktor
First of all: I do not recommend to "drag and drop materials". Select the objects and use "assign material to selection" button. By default, materials do not show on the objects. There is a little button in the material editor that has a material sample and a checker pattern on it. That shows the texture for this material only. If you want to see all materials with textures (my recommendation) use: and and then pick anything "with maps". voila!
I'd like to ask how can I create 2 different materials on the same side of a plane, for instance around the opening of a window, on the external side there is a render and on the internal side plasterboard. both with different textures and colours, which is the right way to do it?
good night Are Uvw Map and Unwrap Map sufficient techniques for mapping a large project, or are you still using the manual way of selecting and cutting Edges?
I use mostly the UVW map modifier, sometimes in combination with mesh select. And only occasionally the unwrap UVW modifier. The size of the project does not matter as the texture coordinates are done object by object.
Sorry, but I can't do the tutorials for each and every new version. Besides certain buttons moving to different locations I have not seen, that my tutorial is outdated.
I like the information you provide, but there absolutely no need to keep switching to your face. Keep the camera focused on the computer screen please.

The best way to solve this is by using a multi/sub-object material and putting different material-IDs on the faces or polygons.
good night
