  • Crime in Gauteng is becoming increasingly rampant. Communities in Soshanguve and surrounding areas in Pretoria are living in fear after a 5-year-old child was shot and killed during a hijacking incident at the weekend. Road spiking incidents are also rising at an alarming rate. Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi has vowed to fight the scourge. However, Lesufi says the situation could have been worse if there were no crime prevention wardens.

…not only that but deal with the socio-economic conditions. Our justice system is a joke, you sentence someone for 6yrs and they are out in 3. We need to have a clear sentence, i.e. the magistrate or the judge must give a clear sentence.
We need to have two methods of sentencing. One with eligibility to parole, eg 6yrs with eligibility of parole after 4yrs and a sentence that is not eligible to parole eg 30 yrs without eligibility to parole, a life sentence with alegibility to parole after 25yrs and a life sentence without eligibity to parole.
It can’t be a given that when ypu are sentence 30yrs, 2yrs or life you will not finish your sentence.

1.special task force for national to deal with protection for the president, deputy president etc
2.provincial special task force.to deal with things like highway hijacking , boards for province etc
3.local special task force for each and every police station in south Africa at list 35 members
And cats aslo be dopleyes for each police stations to guard the police and the police station and the equipment plus dockest all that staff.when u enter police station u must poseses id document so we can know who is these person.

The only person getting abused there is the citizen who has to pay tax which is supposed to ensure adequate health cover, then has to pay for medical aid because apparently the tax evaporates to thin air judging by the state of our public hospitals. I am shocked that the Premier sees the state as the victim.
