Good job Tanner , everyone is a diamond in the rough their first season but I know you'll shine next year!! Thanks for all the videos, have a good off-season!
Heck of a job Tanner. To take over a top tier ride, have the good finishes you had and bring the car home in one piece, Bobby Allen and crew couldn't ask for much more. This experience will serve you well in the years ahead, happy that you got to experience it. And not only did you experience it all, your sister was right there with her never ending energy level helping the crew to get you from race to race and out on the track. Thrill of a lifetime. Congratulations to the both of you and look forward to whatever next year brings for you and the family.
Didn’t wreck anything, looked respectable everywhere you went. Gained a ton of experience. For someone that had no plans of running the WoO tour, to just jump in, deal with the long schedule, you handled it well. Good exposure. Big shout out to Bobby Allen. Would have been easy for him to pull your ride at any point. Especially when Jacob came back. Very stand up guy. Looking forward to whatever 2024 brings
Wow so much to take in . Super job many good things in store. 18 t. Or whatever T is on the wing we will continue to support you and your family. God bless you
Tanner, I know you are over the moon that you were given the chance to race for Shark Racing. They known how to spot up and coming driivers. Bobby Allen would have been watching you for a while and itwas not a spur of the moment decision when he offered you that ride. I am can see you now sitting and watching every Shark Racing ride and seeing what you did that could have been better. Remember how young you are and you have years of Racing ahead of you. After all this experience, racing with the top drivers, you can only get better. I am going to miss seeing regular videos so hope next Season’s racing come soon. I hope one day you will come to Aust to race and we will get to meet. Don’t forget Sprint Car Hub needs an interview and Toby will be glad to record it. Best wishes from your old (79) follower DOWNUNDER here in AUSTRALIA…Maryann
Congrats on a super memorable season Tyler. You had some really great runs early on with Shark Racing but it seemed like your car was getting more and more tired as the weeks passed. Wishing you and Your sister continued success in the coming race season and a very Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Good Job Tanner!!! Great experience working with a legend in BA sometimes think you hold yourself back trying to over think the race.... Just let er rip like you do with the outlaw cart series hammer hammer hammer......
Great job! You have shown the sprint car world what you could bring (on and off the track) to a prospective team. Commendable job this season! I look forward to watching you in the future! Good luck with wherever you end up in 2024!
Well done Tanner!!! Great learning experience. In the long run, You are now an even better race car driver. Looking forward to your success in the future.
Hopefully, you get the chance to go back to Shark for 2024. I don't believe that your driving or setups were your gremlins. To me, it didn't seem like your motors were turning the rpms like Sweet , Gravel, or Macedo were pulling,so you didn't quite have that hell yeah factor and rip down the straight when you dropped the hammer. If you had fresh motors i think you would have had a better shot, not that you didn't do well with what you had, I just think you were slightly under powered compared to some of the big guns. That's my opinion. If yyou do come back to shark maybe you could bring some of your sponsors and motor program along for more help with your adventure, and don't forget to bring Carly cause she is one of the hardest workers I've seen and im sure she helps motivate you. I'm sure she's probably your biggest fan and a great asset to the team. I'm just curious to see what is on the horizon for you and sis with whom ever you get hooked up with in 2024. It doesn't matter if you go back to the family ride with you new found knowledge or return to the seat of the 1t or wherever you wind up, I will continue to be a Tanner fan. Good luck in 2024 with whatever you get or decide to take. Go THR.
Great run and great season tanner youall did great, dont know what you got planned for next season but what ever it is were behind you ,would like to see carly do some drivin cause she "is"a shoe good luck guys love youall and the whole family, get some rest tanner that was a grueling routine!
You summed it up, "Tanner fan". You must not know much about racing in the toughest sprint car series in racing. I thought Tanner did very well in his short time as a WoO driver, even on the nights he didn't qualify. If you think Bobby Allen put Tanner in sub standard equipment you should consider Logan had the same kind of racing luck as Tanner on several nights. Do you think Logan was in the same sub standard equipment? Many nights the crew is taking power out of the engines to suit track conditions, of course you probably knew that as a Tanner fan. Tanner didn't trash any equipment and he got noticed but he's young. His time is coming, just not fast enough for you.
@Kevin_747 yes iknow you can de tune a motor, and you can also crank it up a notch or two. I didn't say the equipment was junk, I said it was lacking power. Perhaps their motors need freshened up. Who knows. It was obvious the power wasn't close to the main winners, and neither was the speed. And FYI, I have been around this sport for 35 yrs and have a good ear for a fine-tuned motor and one that's not up to snuff. I'm just saying. I also know that Bobby wouldn't try to sabotage his teams either.
@@robertmonty6544 The only reason I responded to your post was you're making it out like Bobby put the kid in sub standard equipment. Very unlikely. I've been around sprint cars a long time, 47 years. I met Bobby through Kenny Weld and I drove from '88 to '96. Making an Outlaw show and running consistent is hard. Tanner did good and got some schooling.
@Kevin_747 I'm not douting your knowledge or downing Bobby. All I know is none of the shark 🦈 cars performed really well at the finals, with the exception of Logan's 1 good run. And yes, I agree 💯 that it's not easy to run against the WoO and be ultra competitive week in and week out. Tanner did very well with his limited 410 experience, and I think he will be a fantastic driver in the future. For now, he needs to get more time in the 410's to break his 360 habits. Drive it like, you stole it, or you will be just like the other spectators. Regardless, I will remain a Tanner fan and know that he is improving his ability every time he gets on track. As he gains experience, he will get faster and will probably win his share of races. As for downing Bobby, that wasn't the intention. All I stated was that the cars looked underpowered compared to the front runners. If you unload good, then you will probably be good. If not, you gonna be a jam car,and I know Bobby didn't like seeing his cars not on the podium. After all it was the end of the season and Jacob had a new motor just for his return and it didn't really matter much so whatever the case may be, I hope it works out well for Tanner and Shark. I've been a Dewease fan since the early 90s, and I enjoy seeing new talent coming into the sport no matter where they come from. I'm a die-hard Posse fan, but I also keep tabs on Shark since I used to spend many hours at Bobby's kartway. Bobby did a great thing for Tanner, and I'm sure he had every intention of doing everything possible to make the experience the best he could for Tanner.
Tanner Holmes I'm glad I got to meet you and I got your picture and your autograph at Devil's Bowl speedway I'm glad you had fun with the World of Outlaws tour good luck in 2024🏁🏁🏁
Great job on the season Tanner! It was a tough situation to be thrown into. Hopefully Shark will take a good look at their notes this offseason and come up with some better baseline packages. The whole team seemed to be on a roller coaster ride all season instead of knocking off those consistent top 10 finishes. Logan had an awesome year but even his finishes were a bit all over the place. I look forward to seeing what your plans are for next season. Should be some great opportunities with two big national 410 series.
My guess. This Shark racing exposure will earn Tanner some opportunities over the off season. Said opportunities will come from second tier equipment. Not capable of advancing Tanner's career. I would advise to not say "YES" to anything "LESS" than the #18T family-owned car. I doubt Tanner gets offered a ride in a touring series. But a ride offer in the #121 California 360 car, or a call from #5 Guy Forbrook is possible. Both of which Tanner should say "YES" to.
Hi Tanner I have enjoyed your Outlaw journey, you have had some good results against against some of the best racers. You also had support from Carly it was a pleasure to see the both of you working together.I look forward to follow your journey next year.Take care and stay safe.
Great job THR. Love all these people that know everything about racing and engines. I wonder How many have raced and worked on race cars and engines. Lol.
You have to make split second calculations in the moment. Winning requires a degree of aggression that puts you in harms way occasionally. All the best wreck in the process. . Even if you race the 18T next year you have picked up valuable info on set up and the patterns of drivers. Just keep being a grown up at 20. You’ll succeed. My respect to your wonderful mom and dad and you and Carley
Some times it's better to be lucky than to be good, Tanner, and tonight looks like one of those times (this just after the heat)You're qualifying and running with the top half or the field, How many WOO rookies can do that? Don't forget, Tanner you very seldom break your equipment, and that goes a long way with any car owner or prospective owner, and you have shown the best there is that you Do take care of your equipment. You should be getting phone calls for the upcoming season and I pray that you can land a top quality ride. God Bless and stay safe and stay near the phone....lol.🤩💯💥👋👍🔥🎊🎉🏁
First year in the hardest series in the world . U did a wonderful job if u don't get the shark ride then God has a better place for u. You have tons of years Togo. Big fan of yours . Remember your getting todo what some people never get todo. Your a great guy and have a great family. Maybe try a dirt late model some time. Kryptonite race cars. But we're ever u end up you will be a pro u all ready are. Good job kid.
O hope you can continue on your world of outlaw journey your a really good driver and its time for you to show it in the W.O. Outlaws. If they were smart they would keep a 3 car team it increases chances of wins
Kiddo dont ever sale yourself short if Bobby Allen didn't think you could do it he never would have put you in the car he was watching you Bobby doesn't just put people anybody in that car you went up against the best in the business and did a great job
It took guts for Tanner Holmes just to accept the Shark Racing ride offer and get thrown into the most competitive sprint car series. Tanner far exceeded my expectations, out-preforming Jacob Allen's 2023 results. Tanner had more WoO podiums, more top 5s, and more top 10s in 18 races than full time outlaws Brook Zearfoss, Robbie Price, and Noah Gas had all year. Statistically, Tanner out-performed Cole Macedo, Sam Hafertepe, Parker Price-Miller, Cory Eliason, Anthony Macri, Ryan Timms, Aaron Reutzel, Hunter Scherenberg, Bill Balog, Austin McCarl and Kasey Kahne in WoO competition. Accumulated more points in 18 races than Tyler Courtney got in 21. Overall, Tanner Holmes' 2023 WoO results and consistency were equivalent to Danny Dietrich & Brian Brown. That isn't too bad..
The car seemed like it was tired and needed to be renewed. I think that makes it hard to get a good start pr to pass for position. but this deal was the cheapest and best way to learn what you are in for if you and the family press on.
Wow, how's a Kyle Larson get to where he has gotten to? Just shows you how extremely difficult it is to achieve success at the top levels. Not everybody can throw a 95 mph fastball, and in racing, not everyone has the cash, talent, luck, equipment and experience to win. Hope you are one of the lucky ones Tanner.
Shark Racing isn't a good team? The way I understood is Bobby came to Tanner and it was a talent ride. Where Tanner had to bring little to no money into the deal. That is very rare to find, let alone in a national level. You want a ride for someone in a national level you're going to easily spend $250k+. After talking to some friends with some other teams, that's a low end for national sprint cars.
This was always the plan. Jacob Allen wanted time off and Bobby asked Tanner if he would like the ride for rest of the 2023 season. Which this was the last WOO race for the season. But Bobby could field Tanner year if he wants a 3 car operation or if Jacob is not back. But regardless of those 2 things, Tanner put his foot in the door and showed that he was able to run with the best. So if not shark, it's possible another team may tap him.
Hold your head high. You had some great nights and didn't destroy anything. Proud of you Man!!!

You did great you didn't tear up the car it always rolled into the trailer good luck next season maybe Bobby will call you again
Congrats on everything you accomplished this year. Look forward to your future racing whatever it holds.
Kiddo, it was a great ride. Great learning experience. And you did better than most. All good.
Good luck in 2024. 🏁🏆

Man good running this year. Nothing to be ashamed about. Best wishes on your future endeavors!
I'm glad even local tracks rework the surfaces throughout the night. In my day we didn't have that luxury.

Why is it over at shark?
so are you getting another ride or is that it cheers
When is the 1:18 1T coming out
I didn’t think Charlotte owned a water truck. I left with so much dirt in my pockets i could’ve been charged with possession of stolen property.
Making adjustments on asphalt is hard enough, I can't imagine trying to keep up with the fickle nature of dirt.
Keep it up.
Get the 18T into victory lane now with the Outlaws. You can achieve it!
how do you feel in the car compared to your own.
Wow, how's a Kyle Larson get to where he has gotten to? Just shows you how extremely difficult it is to achieve success at the top levels. No fan of Donnie Schatz after a 'Mobil 1' YT video from about 1 to 2 years ago when he was laughing in support of pulling fire alarms.
Are you going to be in the One T in 2024?
Unfortunately whatever changes you make after time trials, your stuck with and have to make it work.
IMO you are better off, that team and car is not that good, I think you will get a better opportunity with a better team and with better equipment.
Shark Racing isn't a good team?

😂young man you talk too much and keep repeating yourself
Im kinda ready for you to be back in your car anyways. Better chance of winning.
😎🍿💖
Needed better results I guess, sorry Tanner!
