Scarlet Leaves is a darkwave band that was formed in 2003 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. After some experimental formations, its line-up stabilizes with Audret Haas on guitar, Jean on synthesizers and Claudia O Ghisi on vocals.
Their sound can be roughly described as a mixture of Ethereal (in the atmosphere and vocals) and Darkwave (in terms of electronic elements and dance beats). The band's music, in addition to the natural highlight of the beautiful and angelic female vocals, has as its main characteristics an ethereal climate, dissonances of keyboards and guitars, thus forming a genuine mystical fog. Scarlet Leaves sound as convincing as autumn, the season to which the band's name refers.
Musically influenced by 90s gothic rock, darkwave and ethereal, Scarlet Leaves sound original even in a traditional style, which helped them quickly make a name for themselves by performing in the alternative scene of São Paulo, where they were received quite warmly. In 2005, the group entered the studio and produced their first official recording, the demo CD "Compilation of Early Dreams", on which Scarlet Leaves presents to its listeners 5 tracks filled with all the subtlety of the atmosphere of their musical universe.
In 2008, the band released their debut CD, Outlining States Of Mind, which has now become a rarity for collectors. After this, Leaves did not release anything until 2013. In 2013, the single “Believe” was released with a limit of one hundred copies. The title track also appeared on the compilation album Cage 21 (2014).
