From my understanding, reggaetón started as an ofshoot of Jamaican reggae and over time has been increasingly influenced by Latin music. Little mix LOVE a reggaetón beat! Brit-pop in general seems to like it, actually. I feel like in America, our pop is much more often influenced by R&B and hip hop. I think the closest we get to reggaetón here is New Orleans bounce music, which isn’t really that close at all lol:) it has some Jamaican/Bajan roots as well, so it sometimes sounds similar! It’s a bit more creole tho. Anyway, love your channel, and I look forward to your little mix reactions every day!😊
