"In My Arms" is the dejected and resigned inner cry of queen Shena, her aching eyes, now witnessing the awful duel between Daltor and Sendor, are the same that saw her son Surod (Dorus) pass away 16 years ago.

The song is beautiful, but when you understand the story of the Black Crystal Sword it's incredibly powerful and sad. She's mourning the death of her baby while watching her lover go crazy. Ancient Bards is full of amazing songs like this and I can't wait for their new story to begin.

I am from Christchurch New Zealand. For some reason this song has resonated in me for the last few days since the 15 March atrocity in my city (near my home). I do not know why but Sara's voice and the Italian language passage are just so calming. I only hope that 50 people and their surviving families find peace

Very underrated band. I recently discovered them and they are much better, than many of the stars of power metal. Blind Guardian is still the king, but I look forward to more from ancient bards.

A friend of mine said they discovered this band, I implored him to listen to all 3 current albums all at once and study the meaning of the story; I've never seen someoe so happy and satisfied with it.
If you listen to just a few songs of theirs, please, PLEASE take the time to listen to the first to last songs, even if you need to follow the lyrics. It's like a film. You can imagine the storyline in your mind, and you have Sara singing it to you!!

The Ancient Bards want you too listen their story with respect there is no covers it’s pure 100 Ancient Bards. A lot of us in love with a band who deserves so much more. It’s a heart breaking song right up with Who Wants To Live Forever. where light and goodness does not always win.
If you a new fan or an older one like myself, enjoy the story of High Sorcery, they have done songs what other bands in the power/symphonic genre would never do especially Light.

Metal fans may also enjoy "Master of Darkness" - music that demonstrates the band's more metal side - thoughtful music writing, tight instrumental proficiency and great vocal performance. This band does seem to be under rated.
