  • Here is a Dayton 20" air circulator pedestal fan at SUNY New Paltz in my mom's office. This is the second industrial fan here on my channel. It's extremely powerful and has 2 speeds. Low is very much like high on some fans. High is very high and insanely powerful. There are 2 separate model numbers. The base is 1UM38 and the motor is 9MXH4. The date is unknown. It's like a late 90's or early 2000's. Enjoy!

That Dayton is in BEAUTIFUL shape! Wow! I'm super jealous! All the current Daytons are made overseas, but this one was made right here in the US. Can't beat the quality of the older fans!

Do you have any idea when this fan is made at all?

Hmmmm....wish I could tell you! But maybe the late 90s?
Do a search here on TH-cam for "Dayton Fans", and then ask some of the experts that post detailed videos, with channels dedicated to fans, what year they think your fan might be. Be sure to include a link to your video.
Spats Bear, whoisthisguy724, ToryTheFanMan, Dan "Spiffy" Neuman, and Jordan U are some big names here on TH-cam who should be able to help you. Look them up, and send them a message with the link to your video, and ask them what year they think your fan could be.
Let me know if you need any further help. Sorry I couldn't give you a strait answer!

Never seen a pedestal fan with a blade looking like a condenser fan blade before.

Well, you never know what you'll find. It's a great fan and moves aggressive amounts of air.

U don’t see fans of good quality like that any more. I read on a forum that it is because of OSHA. They render them unsafe. But who cares about the shape of the blade?! As long as they are out of reach!

But the wind noise is a good way to tell the strength of the air the fan outputs on video, the louder the stronger.
