Found leukemia in 2018. Was put on oral chemo therapy and was told it was for the rest of my life.
The treatment was literally killing me. I started reading and found the keto diet. After going heavy keto for a year I told the Dr. I wanted to come off the chemo.

I was researching the recommended vegetables, fruit, and grains we eat nowadays, and was STUNNED to see how manyof them have been re engineered so recently in history. Almost every grain, fruit, starch, and veggies have been radically changed in the last 100 to 200 years, often trippling the sugar content and size. Apples werent sweet. Niether were pears, oranges, and peppers. Strawberrys were tiny. Most commercially produced berries and table grapes are inventions of the last century. Wheat, corn, and rice, all different. Wow! Sugar? From rare to everywhere!
I'm down almost 70 lbs and loving my carni-ketovore life.
Today was a sleep in, late breakfast day because its my wife's day off. Pasture raised 3 egg omelettes, suffed with homemade mozzarella, and home smoked pork belly bacon, topped with a schmeer of sour cream and a half avocado! Im a quart of bullet coffee in the morning and one dinner meal a day, usually, but days off can be nice. Sitting by the fire, digesting brunch listening to the rain, and sipping an Earl Grey....ahhhhh. my best life!

Has the pleasure of listening to a couple of the Lundberg boys, the giant, lithe, tall men who ran the organic Lundberg rice empire in Northern California. They were looking for a chemical free way to store their rice in bulk, and hit on the idea of charging the silos with C02 gas, letting it keep the rice from an oxygen rich environment. It was primarily done to keep pests out--cant eat if you can't breath--but I wonder if it controlled fungus as well. It was WAY cheaper than the refrigerated silos they had been using.

Just diagnosed with Ocular Melenoma in September this year. It's been a wild ride, but I completed my final surgery today. I'll definitely be doing keto as a lifestyle from here on out. This cancer can come back later in life and if it does, that's usually a rough road that ends poorly. I want to give myself the best chance to be around for my wife and 4 kids for a long time. If you have any other suggestions, I'm all ears. Thank you so much for your dedication in getting people to become truly healthy. Just the other day I was reflecting on the fact that when I studied nutrition in college I would look at the "about the author" section of the textbooks and they were often significantly overweight women. My textbooks never mentioned the keto diet or much about fasting. In fact, the books mostly cautioned against extreme dietary changes and instead emphasized keeping everything "balanced". What a shame. Thanks again for sharing the truth!

With ocular melanoma, the harder you hit it earlier the better. The idea was that for those that spread, there is already micro metastisis in the liver when the primary tumour is eliminated and that those mutations were next to impossible to kill. Recently, however they found those very mutations dead in the bone stem cells after autopsies of patients who had passed of old age without any recurrence, basically dispelling the old theory. You should have the attitude that micro metastissis is a lot easier to kill regardless of mutation and that removing the two fuels with keto and the bendazoles will put you at an extreme advantage.

My dad was diagnosed with a glioblastoma in early 2017. I encouraged him to eat a ketogenic diet and provided him with a book recommended by my functional doctor. My dad tried the diet for about a month around the same time he started chemotherapy. He was c/o fatigue and was told BY HIS NEURO ONCOLOGIST that it was likely from the keto diet and that he should just eat a regular diet because there wasn’t enough evidence to show that his cancer relied on sugar to thrive. This particular cancer hospital touted a higher survival rate than any in the country (ie 5 years); however, funding ran out for any of their experimental drug/tx trials. My dad passed away after 16 months. This facility now implements a ketogenic diet as part of their treatment protocol. 🙄

When I was a teenager in the 1960s, we lived in a beach town on the East Coast. I lived in the sun all summer long, and of course, there was no sunscreen, so now I get skin cancer. I have been keto/carnivore for 5 years but just a few months ago had two more squamous cell cancers confirmed by biopsy. That brings me to a total of 4 squamous cells and one basal cell. Unfortunately, even the best diet doesn't seem to mitigate DNA damage from past indiscretions. I'm hoping that is the only cancer I'll have to deal with in my lifetime. On the other hand, both my heart and liver have undergone almost miraculous healing since changing my diet.

    Dr Warburg stated as follows:-

    Thank you Dr Berry.
Hyper progressive disease (commonly called turbo cancers) operates a bit differently than previous cancers.
It can use glutathione to decrease oxygen and thereby increases the growth rate of the cancer.
Whereas before antioxidants and especially glutathione could help support the immune system to attack a cancer now the immune system does not recognize this type of cancer and does not attack it.
With these new very aggressive cancers both standard and alternative approaches are often doing the opposite of what is needed to fight these cancers.
Chemotherapy will reduce platelets and oxygen in the body. Antioxidants of course reduce oxygen in the body.
Cryotherapy (cold plunge) reduces oxygen in the body. Monoclonal antibodies stimulate the immune system that does not readily recognize these cancers making it far less effective and can increase autoimmunity. (The 20% of people who find monoclonal antibodies helpful for standard cancers are the ones that also have high fevers as a side effect).
Increasing oxygen is needed to destroy the new cancers. Healthy cells use oxygen and the mitochondria to produce energy. Cancer cells use a fermentation process that does not use oxygen to produce energy. Oxygen can impair cancer cells and support healthy cells .
Things that are helpful in fighting this hyper progressive disease.
Fasting. Stimulates autophagy that causes cells that are damaged to be destroyed. Also reduces fuel to the cancer cells that use 17x's the amount of energy that a normal cell uses.
A high fat, low protein, zero carb diet (sugar feeds cancer and glutamine can feed it also) cancer does not use ketones for fuel. But it is not advisable to use vegetable/seed oils due to how highly inflammatory they are.
The carnivore diet is the most nutrient dense and bioavailability diet.
Mega dosing vitamin B1 and B1 cofactors. B1 is necessary for using oxygen in the energy pathways of the body. 80% of the body's B1 is found in the mitochondria and necessary for mitochondrial health.
Methylene Blue. Methylene Blue is a donator and acceptor of electrons in the mitochondria. It is used in emergency rooms for metheglobinemia (where the body can not carry oxygen properly).
Frankincense essential oil (not fragrance which is chemicals and has no healing properties)
Frankincense has been shown to reduce inflammation (frankincense does not just block inflammation but changes and inflammatory cells into antiinflammatory cells)and promote blood flow (which ultimately increases the amount of oxygen in the brain and blood). It also has anticancer properties.
MSM (methysulfonylmethane) can increase the permeability of cell walls, and in doing so your cells have a better chance of absorbing all-important nutrients and oxygen.
Sulforaphane, a chemical found in broccoli, can protect cells from oxygen and glucose deprivation (OGD), it can also induce oxidative stress and death of cells (cancer cells?) in some cases.
    Iver mectin, fenben, artemisia....
"In one study, researchers found that combining artemisinin, a compound isolated from the wormwood plant, with high-pressure oxygen reduced cancer cell growth by 38%."
Antiparasitics increases oxygen and kills parasites which can interfere with the body getting vital nutrients.
Stop taking statins "Patients with low concentrations of low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, lowered as a result of taking statins, are at significantly more risk of being diagnosed as having cancer compared with patients with higher concentrations of the cholesterol, according to a meta-analysis of 23 large studies of statins"
Exercise. Increases oxygen in the body. And breathing exercises too.
Breathing through your nose increases oxygen especially during sleep so mouth taping would be helpful if you are a mouth breather at night.
    Quercetin and zinc.
(quercetin helps get zinc into the cells) Some studies suggest quercetin may positively impact mitochondrial function, which is crucial for cellular energy production and oxygen utilization.
Zinc can indirectly increase the body's oxygen levels by increasing the oxygen affinity of hemoglobin, meaning that red blood cells can bind more oxygen when zinc is present, effectively allowing for better oxygen delivery throughout the body.
Vitamin D levels can affect oxygenation in several ways, including:
    Improved oxygen rate
Studies show that athletes with higher vitamin D levels have a higher oxygen consumption rate, which can help them breathe better and improve endurance.
    Improved tissue oxygenation
Changes in vitamin D blood concentrations can affect blood parameters, which can improve tissue perfusion and oxygenation.
    Improved cardiorespiratory fitness
Serum vitamin D levels predict maximal oxygen consumption (VO2max), which is a measure of cardiorespiratory fitness. The effect is greatest in people with low physical activity levels.
    Improved lung function
Vitamin D deficiency can cause pulmonary function deficits, including lower lung volume.
Reduced risk of acute respiratory distress syndrome
    Hyperbaric oxygen therapy
Increased pressure allows your body to carry more oxygen.
Red light therapy and/or infrared sauna therapy.
Red Light Therapy enhances cellular energy production and promotes healing at a cellular level, HBOT floods the body with oxygen, optimizing the healing process.
Infrared saunas cause blood vessels to dilate and improve blood flow and oxygen to tissues.
They also stimulate the mitochondria to make melatonin in the cells. Melatonin is the most powerful antioxidant but according to current/recent research it does not increase the growth of hyper progressive disease.
It is vital for clearing waste and toxins from the cells.
    Sleep.
Sleep is necessary for the body to heal, detox, and repair.
    Your body needs good sleep.
    God bless.

Thank you Dr Berry. My hubby was diagnosed 10 years ago with multiple myeloma. 9 years ago he had a stem cell transplant. 2 years ago the cancer came back & attacked his left femur. This summer 2024 we found out about Carnivore diet & started watching you. I had been diagnosed with NAFLD. Do we started the carnivore diet in August. Yesterday we got his most recent myeloma labs. How bout the numbers were lower than when he had the stem cell transplant. He is still on a low dose maintenance therapy, but I’m praying in three months labs are same or lower & he can get off that as well. So, yes!!!! A carnivore or ketovore diet does help to inhibit cancer cell growth. Oh, I have lost 43 pounds, I know my liver is great and hubby has lost 48 pounds.

Sadly, I shared an interview with Dr. Seyfried with a friend who had a diagnosis of glioblastoma. He had had surgery and spent six months in a rehab nursing home during his chemo/radiation therapy. He called it "garbage" and "pseudoscience" and he said you (I) might be into it (ketogenic diet), but he is not. I was rather taken aback... even though it was text on WhatsApp (he lives in New Zealand), he was pretty ... abrupt. I sent him several reference papers... told him definitely not garbage, and probably not "pseudoscience". He damn near died. He lost some of his memory and verbal faculties.
He's 73yo, and he's one of my more cantankerous friends. I hesitate to send him this video; he's made it clear he's not interested. I'll never bring it up with him again with regard to his diagnosis, but I'll bring it up a lot with regard to my own health journey. But it made me cry.

This was after he refuses to think my A1C of 5.7 is an issue (tested in June and December). His on staff dietician told me to drink Ensure with protein and if I did not eat carbs I would die. Oh and I should take statins because my LDL is 128. Then wrote a nasty summary on my record. Finding a competent Doctor is impossible.

Testosterone theory is being challenged right now. I had Stage three, very virulent type of prostate cancer that had invaded the bladder neck. Had radical prostatectomy, the bladder neck and a significant portion of my bladder removed, went through radiation therapy and was placed on Lupron (chemical castration) at the behest of my radiation oncologist. He pretty much insisted that I would die if I didn't take the injections. As a father of four, with 2 still at home in my late 50's, I agreed.
Luckily for me, my insurance company changed, and I was without coverage for the lupron after a year. The private pay price was THIRTY EIGHT GRAND A YEAR!!!!!!
I started researching, and found that testosterone exacerbates prostate cancer WHILE YOU STILL HAVE A PROSTATE. After it has been removed, testosterone suppression doesn't seem to make a difference in PSA levels I still get mine tested, and after 4 years of no lupron, I'm still usually below .08 or so.
Now I'm looking into some testosterone replacement therapy to counter the damage done. Younger doctors are a little more up on this.
Do you still have your prostate?
Lupron is basically making a man go through menopause. Fat, swollen breast tissue, hot flashes and sweats, and abdominal fat that I never struggled with before. I've been fat before, but never IN my guts, just over them.
Since starting Carnivore, I've lost fat, gained muscle, and still have sexual function. All important to a 63 year old

I recently started watching your videos for tips on how to lower my blood sugar as I’m pre-diabetic. I’ve also watched some of your other videos and find them very interesting and informative.
Have you done any videos on how to TREAT (not prevent) hear disease? Also have you looked into whether or not statins are really the best way to TREAT (not prevent) heart disease? I know that the drug companies have manipulated the data making it appear that statins are more useful in preventing heart attacks in those without heart disease than they really are and make it appear that the risks are less than what they are from using statins.
I have heart disease and have been prescribed statins to treat it, which I’ve resisted as I’m not convinced they’re the best way to go. I also had a stent put in.
Incidentally when I looked into the dual anti-platelet therapy I was shocked. The evidence supporting it is very weak.

When am I going to see my blood pressure to go down?
    Love your show.
    Thanks

I have HR+ breast cancer; will keto be a benefit in killing these types of cancer cells? Thank you, Dr Berry!!

Yes it will ! You need a better balance of estrogen and low carb I would say carnivore is the better choice . Maybe occasional other keto foods ..

Ketogenic diets greatly improve overall health, especially carnivore. Humans are not meant to eat plants and when we do it causes excessive damage and problems that the body must divert resources to fix. If you're fighting anything, a ketogenic diet is always beneficial in some way, even if the thing you're fighting isn't directly impacted.

Look at Thomas Seyfried too - a metabolic approach to cancer treatment. It's a revelation, and he has been treating people this way for decades for all cancers.

What's the difference between keto and carnivore?

    • @karenmiles9822
      @karenmiles9822 5 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

Carnivore is all animal products. No fruits or vegetables like with keto. Keto has too much noise and all the treats. I've been carnivore 5 years. I did two and a quarter years low carb before that. Carnivores much easier. My husband just joined in in July when he was diagnosed with cancer.

Haven't watched a Berry video in a few months and am surprised at how he has aged so visibly. WTF?
