Well having used these for a year they are half good. They are well built. The side dry bags are much closer to 10 liters than 15. I am doing a mod to use a couple of Mosko 14L dry bags (talller) in the holsters and bypassing the roll top on the Excursions for longer trips. Its impossible to load their dry bags when full into the holster due to the belt that is sewn in. For day trips or light overnight they work great though as designed.
I have a honda crf300l. I have a tail rack, and a rotopax fuel can sits flat on that. Could I use these? Just put it over the 1.75 gallon fuelpax and secure it onto the tail rack?
Do these put a lot of the weight over the rear fender and subframe or can you shift the weight to be easy on the subframe? My XR650R has an infamously weak subframe that I am hesitant to load much onto. I’d like to be able to haul some camping gear on it with a setup like this
We are expecting a big shipment to arrive sometime next month! Sorry, we try to keep these stocked but they just sell so quickly that we can't keep up with production. Good and bad problem to have. - Chase
Seems like an awesome product for riding off-road on a 350, 500 or even bigger bikes. SUGGESTION to improve it further: for riders riding gnarly terrain and downhill descents, make the top bag have an option to transform it to a backpack (comfy shoulder straps?) so you can carry it on your back to cross these gnarly sections, instead of it being in your way when you shift your weight & butt to the rear of the bike. 🙃
I noticed you guys don't make the Highland system anymore, is the Excursion now your largest option? Any plans to make a new model to replace the Highland?
The webbing is on the bottom side so when you mount items they are not accessible. The bottle bags and saddle bags have a hard sewn in strap at the top that limits the bags opening size. Should have been a adjustable strap You can't load Nalgene sized bottles into them and who wants their water bottle hanging in the muddy side of their finder anyway.. Thanks to the strap that goes around the top you can't load and unload the dry bags you have to put the bag in then put stuff in it. I would like to be able to load and unload storage bags full so I'm not always digging for stuff. Still like the set up it's small and fits on a Little 300. Just wish that top strap didn't limit the size and the webbing should be on both sides so you have options.
Hi, you got a dealer in Europe? Because otherwise its crazy expensive to order it from you in the us. I order a lot of things from the states but your shipping cost with taxes and duty are killing the product price.
We do have a couple dealers in Europe however the product is still a little more expensive as we don’t have any distribution sites in Europe. So the dealers still have to pay for the expenses to have the items shipped to them.

@@mxracerguy True, but Tusk isn't a start up company like Mosko Moto was and technically still is. I bet the quality side by side isn't as nice as Mosko Moto. But nice to have an option for people who may benefit from it.
@@eric.colson For the 80L, yes. But these are more in the 40L range which are $100 - $200 less than the Mosko equivalent but don't come with the tail bag it seems on their website. I have good reasons to be loyal to Mosko. Choice is up to the consumer ;)

Can you take the bags off the harness, to use other bags with the tusk harness?
Like that tank bag
I have the tank bag and I love it.
Are these good for the Africa Twin?
You bet! We have a wider base for bikes like the Twin that have a wide rear.
Just installed this and the large tank bag on my 2024 KLX300.
Hope you are enjoying your new Excursion bags. Thanks for watching!

Nice system, wondering will it work with a Yamaha MT-10 with a back rack? Seems like it should.
Do you make this for the honda xr650l ? I couldn't find it on your website !
Do you think this system would work on an old BMW r1150gsa?
I would like to see them installed on the Versys X300. I bought one in Dec. and plan to do some riding starting soon.
why are these always out of stock? do you expect them in stock anytime soon or should I seek another brand?

Can it be mounted on a Vstrom 650 2021?

They're upgrading the highland
Will it fit a GS1250

Just ordered one!

waiting for tusk highland forever... now This product is no longer available. why? why?
Updating them
Could you run the medium dry bag with this setup to get more storage?
You bet
Hey cool set up. I finally got to drive by your shop. Guess you guys aren’t open past 2am? Lol. Man I wanted to stop
Is it fit to KTM 390 adventure?
wondering the same
This is perfect!!! Thank you
You're showing the kit on a KTM 500, but on your website the dropdown menu for KTM only shows the 690 and 990.
Yeah I found the same. I’d be curious which base is shown here in the video?
@@neildxb that's for the heat shield.
Shipping to thailand ?
Yes, these bags are available to be shipped to Thailand.
When are you getting more Tusk tank bags?
Should have some coming beginning of February.

Yikes, looks very much like a copy of the Mosko Moto stuff.
The price sure doesn't 👍

Copy of Mosko Moto.
Whats thw price difference
Yes it is... thats what tusk is, they take existing products, try to copy them, make them better, and then sell them at half the price. I love it.
Mosko copied giant loop they're all copies
