    Watch to the end to see the gorgeous item that Cosy Organic makes out of the fabric that I print. Please also comment below what else you think we should make from the remaining fabric.

    What a fantastic project! Thank you for demonstrating so clearly how to make such stunning prints on fabric and how to turn them into a gorgeous garment. So easy to follow and brilliant design ideas.

    Wow!! What a great collaboration. Now I have another craft I want to try. Your tutorials are very thorough and give me a good understanding of what is involved. I am currently focusing on two projects. One is fabric collage wall art. I enjoy collaging the elements and then placing them on my own hand dyed fabric background. I can imagine using this technique of designing and printing the background rather than painting it for a modern more abstract composition. Can't wait to try it. And then the other project I am into right now is making zippered pouches and cross body bags with cork and batik fabric for accent. It would be very satisfying to design and print my own cotton accent fabrics. Now my head is spinning with ideas! Thanks for your inspiration!

    I like how you chose to eyeball the placement of your design elements rather than using a grid template. A spontaneous design works better for me. Measuring things is tedious to me but not doing it does get me in trouble sometimes.😄 Your design is pretty and I like your tertiary colors and all of the white space that you left! It's exciting to not only carve shapes but to find all of the interesting mark-making tools around the house, as you showed. What type of fabric did you use? Thanks for sharing. 💛

      Thanks, eyeballing is the only way for me, I couldn’t be measuring, I like the extra creativity of eyeballing 👁😂😍
      This is a 100% cotton…creases a lot!

    Loved this Sarah! The little tunic top is so cute! A fab collaboration. I’ve been meaning to have a play with fabric printing for my own creations, must dig out my Lino tools! Maybe I’ll do an inspired by you project 😁. I would love to see a little play suit / romper made from your hand printed fabric!

      Yes that would be so fun to do some lino yourself…for a TH-cam video too?
      I’d absolutely love to print some fabric and have it made into a cute jumpsuit for me 👌🥰😊 Cushions next I think though 😂 for the new sofa in the new extension, can’t wait to reveal all on my new channel later this year ❤️

    If you cut a square from scrap couldn't you glue it to the back of the printing block or use a plastic bottle top? I'm going to try this, thanks for the info...

    Love the block printing! As someone else mentioned, this is another project on my list!
    Question, have you done any silkscreening projects?

    • @RedRockingBird
      @RedRockingBird  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s so much fun and so satisfying, I have done screen printing but I don’t currently have the kit for it, but on a T-shirt video I did do my own versions of this on a t-shirt, worth a look ❤️ Enjoy your projects

    Thanks for reply my question well 2 really is I am a novice watercolour artist and trying different things out so if I wanted to incorporate an air dry clay small embellishment say like a flower what is the best way to attach to paper hot glue gun or pea? And if I used watercolour paint do I need to varnish them ?

    • @RedRockingBird
      @RedRockingBird  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Brenda, I’d say pva glue would be better than hot glue, we always just have to make sure we don’t reactivate the watercolour when varnishing, I find that a thin layer of mod podge works well and then add a stronger varnish or spray lacquer over the top of that, I have an air dry clay and watercolour video. ❤️
      As you say you are experimenting which is fab, but just make sure you do a test piece first so you know how different mediums react to each other.
