@@Steryon91 many if not most people with eating disorders would rather starve than have money, and even if that did "work" the mental damage done from the eating disorder wouldn't disappear. all they'll do is hide it more. eating disorder recovery takes years and the mindset never truly goes away. eating disorders is the deadliest mental disorder, 1/10 people with it who dont go into recovery die from it. its not simple at all

It’s got to be so hard to do all of this on tv and in front of a live audience. These girls are so brave. I hope they’re doing well.
I dont think they feel comfortable there tho, I feel like one of the things that are making them cry is the shame of having to share how they feel in front of so many people.

I had a moment like that when I found a picture of myself in a bathing suit that I didn't know anyone took. It really opened my eyes. Reminds me of when Hurley's psychiatrist takes a pic of him and his "friend" in the show Lost and there is no friend there.

I know what that cry feels like. Where you can barely breathe.
It feels like your heart is breaking into thousands of pieces and your soul is being ripped from your body. The darkness of your feelings is smothering you like a weighted blanket, yet you feel surprisingly light. Like you have nothing to lose. It's a terrible feeling.
This breaks my heart. I hope these girls are doing better and recovering. They are beautiful and it hurts to see them so upset about this. Our minds can be way too mean to ourselves.

its irresponsible and I can tell just how much I relate to their feelings as a male survivor of anorexia nervosa. Phil isnt particularly clued into certain conditions, clearly this is one.
Dr. Phil is mad aggravating with his damn questions. Was this tv show really the right setting for all these “therapy” sessions?

I realized his method of the therapy. he asked them questions so they can answer themselves? questions that kinda have obvious answers but he wants THEM to speak it so they can hear it themselves?? anyways. he still sounds annoying and pushy lol
It's not designed to be therapy for the guest. He knows they are not listening. It's to help bring understanding of the problem to the rest of us
Psychologists ask questions. That's what they do to help and that's how he has helped others. So calm down

Probably because the girls were already venerable and adding comments could cause them more pain but they’re doing better now, and gained weight so they’ve probably decided that the comments could be turned on
The comments on all the dr. Phil videos have been getting turned on
These girls are so sweet. I know how hard an ED is and when you are in the throws it’s just your world. I’m so happy they are healthy now.
They are both very beautiful young women, and I hope that they can get this eating disorder fixed so they can be happy and healthy.
As I mother my heart goes out to the parents & them. I truly hope their doing well!!!

I think he's trying to understand what goes through their head SO he can understand the disease. I don't think anyone without this disease really truly understands it. I see your point though.
@@kkfizz12 you are completely right, no one without them ever understands it and it makes everything so much harder. People judge or call you over dramatic because they don’t see how hard it is, how excruciatingly painful it is, how much of an addiction it is. I wish more people talked abt eating disorders because they are one of the most horrible all consuming mental illnesses with the hightes mortality rate

Omg these girls have no clue how beautiful they are but how much that does not matter. They seem kind sweet honest and smart. That's what they need to focus on because that's wa what they will be remembered for. They break my ❤ I'm sending huge hugs.

They are doing fine! They came back to the show on a special episode about "where they (previous guests) are now". They looked happy and healthy both of them, I hope it stays that way! ♡

I had an eating disorder, and I know how bad it is, because I had it when I was around 12 -15 years old, and I’m recently recovered. And now I’m happy that I’m over it. Sometimes I do have bad days when I don’t wanna eat, but I’m eating what I need. At my lowest point I weighted around the 55 kilograms. But my healthy weight is 70 kilo's. And my father and mother did everything to stop it. And I ate very bad, only 2 slices of bread a day, and it’s NOT recommended! So don’t try it out! Eat what your body needs! And eat enough! Be happy about your body! I know how bad it is! Please don’t listen to others, listen to yourself and your belly! Pls remind my words ok? I love you people so much! 💖

when the girl who spoke more could see what you lose through this illness and its horrific feelings of self loathing and depression , you could see she was recounting its full force and I can totally remember what bullying and other trauma like that felt like, then well it led me down a similar path
ED is hard because the surrounding triggers us easily, and society's expectation and we fall into that trap.... these two girls are brave to come up and talk honestly about this, and how much happier they were before, not having to constantly be triggered when one looks thinner than the other 😭

Update - They Are Healthy, Strong. And They’ve Gained Weight.
I never had an eaten disorder or anything, I just never gained weight. After years of trying, I finally, started gaining weight slowly but I was. No matter how long it takes, I’m still gaining weight. Which is good! It’s Okay. If you’re not gaining weight, trust me! Sooner, or, later, you will! like me. :)

Dr phil doesn't get it. He never will. No psychologist or doctor could ever know what this is like unless they have gone through this themselves. They could read all of their books, they could go to all mental health classes and all that but will they ever know what it's really like? Nope. Not a bit.
you are completely right . no one understands the way people who suffer from this think or the pain that comes with it .
dr.phil doesn't even understand paranoid schizophrenia or spiritual forces, saying in another video that lightbulbs spying on you is normal, but experiencing demonic forces is quote: "bizarre". phil is helpful to some but a con joke.

Eating disorders consume lives - the sufferers can not work , function, have relationships, achieve their goals - it’s all encompassing …it’s absolutely tragic. And the poor parents dealing with this for years.
My heart breaks for them! I hope they're doing better these days - they're beautiful women inside and out and I hope they got REAL help bc "Dr." Phil clearly has no idea what he's talking about.

I feel bad for them. I know how bad it hurts to see eating disorder pictures and having to see yourself at your worst even though f you are still going through it. I have pictures from when I was at the worst part of my eating disorder and even tho I wasnt under weight and looked healthy its still painful because I can almost see the hurt in my eyes that I didn't notice when I took the pictures...

No you don't. You want to be 'attractive' or a healthy weight but this isn't healthy. You might have an eating disorder or a condition that makes you overweight you don't want to be this severely underweight either.
Neither being overweight or underweight is heathy. Coming from someone with a severe ED. I hope you get the help you need, please don't hurt yourself like this women have :(
I've just about never felt as bad about *EVERYTHING* when it came to both my body and everything else about my life as well when I was extremely skinny at one too long point in my life. Nobody wants that. You may think you want it, but you truly don't.
Not judging at all by the way, I've felt that way before myself. With me not struggling so much with my weight anymore (thankfully!!), I finally feel good about myself, flaws and all. That's the best feeling you can get, you all deserve more than to deprive yourself from that feeling of happiness and acceptance, truly ♡♡♡

i was very thin my whole life, i weighed like 20KG when i was 12, about 40KG when 20, i am 170cm..never gained weight despite trying..but afterwards i managed to gain and now stands at 62KG..i think it has to do with metabolism
