- I added spearhead inlays to my newly acquired '86 BC Rich NJ Series Ironbird, and also threw a set of new and 💩ty NYXL strings. If you're a regular to my channel, you already know how I feel about these strings and ever other brand that isn't D 'Addario. "You really should try the"...NOPE don't wanna hear it. I probably will be ripping these strings off sooner rather than later. They are just exceptionally bad!!! At least the recordings still sounded good. Many more videos with the Bird to come, as well as others. Thanks for watching!!!

That ibanez cuts through so brilliantly, those standard pickups sound great.
I could not give less of a shit of what people think about bc rich guitars... The Ironbird will remain as one of the few guitar models that I will adore and worship until my days are ournumbered. Long live bc rich.
Wow, I've never heard anyone say NYXL's sound lifeless and dull, they must be fake ones. They are brighter and last longer than the EXL's for me by a long time.

I think the NYXL sound good for drop b and lower tuning. Check out the dunlop heavycore strings....
I absolutely hate NYXL in every gauge I tried. They feel stiffer, and sound like 2 weeks old EB Slinkies.

in all my years of playing, I've never seen someone pull off the look of a B.C. Rich quite like Kevin! It either came off to edgy or even a bit cringey in most cases but with Kevin, it's just perfect! Like Hetfield and the Explorer or Dimebag and the Razorback, shit looks DOPE on you man! KILLER riffs!

I have an Ibanez with an X2N in the bridge and this thing fuckin rips. Not the tightest sounding pickup, but sounds absolutely massive. Good choice!

Man I wish more people would try kahler tremolos out I love them. A quick tip to anyone that has one that was told to me by Neil Moser. Tighten the cam screws just until they start getting a bit of resistance, then loosen them 1 1/2 to 2 turns and it'll return to perfect tuning after divebombs. Just to help get the right amount of tension on them.

I have that same guitar, possibly the same year with all the same hardware in pearl white. Currently sanded down due to the paint looking kinda yellow. Maybe some crackle paint coming soon
I hear what you're saying about D'addario strings. I'm primarily a bassist but for bass guitar as well as guitar ever since throwing in those D'addario in the precision bass I knew I'd never buy another brand of strings. They last forever, never break, amazing tone, yet most importantly the feel of those strings are unlike any other brand.

Looks like you love playing the Ibanez the most but it looks like you enjoyed the sound of the LTD Jeff Hanneman the most. The EMGs were clearly really made for that style of playing.
Surprisingly, the Ibanez sounded the most clear and tight. But, the riffing on the Beast was boss.
