Oddly, 154CM is becoming a favorite steel of mine. Find myself carrying it more lately than my S35VN, M390, 20CV, CTS-204P, S110V, well... you get the point. I have a Protech in 154CM and it really does a great job.
Nice knife, I am drawn to the hogue ex-02 sig with the spear point and ceracoating myself. In your opinion is it fair to do batoning tests with these folders? I'm looking for a tough drop point folder for my dad that is capable of batoning without breaking the locking mech.
The aluminum variant, I believe, uses a phospor bronze and teflon washers. But the G-Mascus version (layered G-10) doesn't use washers. Instead, it has a steel frame inlaid within the G-10. The blade to frame contact is the pivot area. There's an explanation of why Allen Elishewitz, the designer of the knife, made it that way for that variant. From what I remember, I think the steel to steel sliding contact is supposed to be good or something like that.
Damn i love that green
Your lighting is awesome thank you.... makes all the difference..... These knives have a hold on me.......
Glad you liked the video - thanks for the kind words.

Excellent review.
Great review ,OK knife ,just don't like the lock system. 6/10..
Nice !!
Wow, were these really going for $135 back then? Can't find them a penny under $180 now from my usual sources, and the G10 models are even more.
Yeah. Not sure why the price has jumped so much.

I have batonned with my 4"ex01. The ex05 is very appealing to me..
i'm sorry if i missed it in the video, but what kind of pivot does it use? washers, bearings?
