Thank u Tomo-san! Such a groovy song and so good to see you playing with Shingo and Toshiki. Guitar Wisdom has been very helpful, I’m learning Autumn Leaves right now! For a request, i’d love anything about current Japanese bands like Yorushika, Yoasobi, or King Gnu. Yorushika’s new songs 「晴る」and 「Rubato」 have a lot of jazz influence that I think you’d really like!
Many Thanks for all you do, Tomo!🙏……I was wondering why this affordable guitar that you helped design (with the win-win tones) didn’t include a whammy bar?
Ty. I love how you teach. 3 months in and i hit a rut. I knew to much but didn’t actually in reality but you show me how to just learn tiny amounts and let it come together in time. Its made a huge impact just keeping it simple as i was running but with no knowledge of the track so would go off key so to speak now i walk slowly but sounds musical then speed it up. Just one video changed so much. Very grateful and was free ❤ all happy playing

Bill Withers, Just the two of Us! The vocal is wonderful in the original song. Learning the chords and the melodies are Massive! Thank You so Much Tomo San you have already done so much for me. I have been looking at these chord relationships for some time now. Kinda like the walk-downs in Good Morning Heartache. I gotta sing too, with my guitar format. Makes everything come ALIVE!
Perfect timing! I finally got my new guitar and it holds tune very well, so I am ecstatic to return to practicing my triads and learning the songs you have shared on your channel. Yes it’s a Stratocaster!
Thank you so much for sharing Tomo! I really enjoy listening to you play guitar riffs by George Benson. He's truly one of the best, very clean, pure guitar sound, he can play super fast or slow and makes me think twice about how to really play jazz guitar. His sense of rhythm and vocals are also truly great especially On Broadway where he adds a little something to the beat to make the song stand out more, just The Two Of Us sounds completly different yet it's George. Thanks again.
Glad you enjoyed it! You're very welcome! Love George Benson! Amazing blues / Jazz player! Please listen older Benson stuff. "Bad Benson" is so cool! Thank you so much!
Hi Tomo, thanks for sharing this - it's a great song. I've always thought the chord structure was interesting. Normally I play it a semi-tone lower for some simpler chords, but I like it starting on the Db M7. Thanks again for sharing.

Tomo, question how much of your chord play was shell voicing, Triads, and your licks were arpeggio of chords. I may be wrong, but you showed me where I was wrong about the no outside of the scale playing. Thank you so much again 😊. .
Great question! I use basic chords & a little triads, some arpeggios. We all learn these as foundation and use them musically so I am not playing exactly correct arpeggios like exercise. This lesson is all about basic chords and simple melody. Thank you!
Hello from someone who's obsessed with yakult and music, Mr. Fujita! I was trying to improv over this song and I noticed how I tend to repeat patterns or lines once I try to play faster to the point where I play the same thing for other songs. Do you have any advice on how I could stop falling into a pattern and play something refreshing when I try to play faster? Much love and respect, YakultLover72
Yes! In this case, try to play minor scale on 1st string and try to find a good melody first. then maybe you can learn the structure of each chords. Triads, 7th chords and use those chord tone on part of your soloing. So need to learn something new & practice them so you can apply them. So much fun! Thank you so much!
thanks tomo, cool switch and a good concept. i too have a switch on my mex strat so i can play the neck and bridge together or all three at once, it's a cool sound, jazzy, woody on two and big on three. have you tried it?
could you do a lesson on the beverly hills cop axcel theme tune please Tomo? also to arrange the melody to guitar with some sort of really good synth effect for guitar thanks man
suggestion; you should play a cut of the original hit b4 U start, (if there's no copyright issues) I believe you can legally play any song if you're just running a short clip? - some of your audience might not know the tune 😊
Thanks for your question. I teach anyone who has a lot of passion. Somebody can be good at or better than others but there is no "Gifted people" I was just normal person who had a lot of passion & figured out how to improve my playing ability by pure hard work & solid clear plan ... not just quantity of hours. That's way too easy! I teach foundation to all my students but each person has a special personality so I choose a specific timing of choosing right material for that person with appropriate pace. Thank you!
Tell Ibanez to make the AZES31 in left-handed format! The only left-handed guitar they make that comes close to this one is the AZES40, and that has different pickups -- a Humbucker in the bridge position, and two single-coils in the middle and neck positions. Doesn't seem to have the same tone because of the different pickups, but maybe it's my imagination.
I usually love Tomo, but I've never seen a video titled a chord lesson that was less clear about the actual chords being played. He even skips one of the chords entirely when going through the chords at the beginning, playing the melody instead of that chord. This video was really frustrating. Videos that claim to teach chords of a song should actually teach the chords of the song! This video is more about the melody and the gear than about the chords. For those struggling, like me, to just get the names of the chords in order, here they are: D flat maj 7, C7, B maj 7, B flat 7, A maj 7, A flat 7, D flat maj 7, G flat 13
Maybe you are thinking about where I played very jazzy chords? Those are not about this lesson. This lesson is all about super simple chords! Oh! Really....
