That looks like fun to me and now I want to make ink swatches! lol Great insight and ideas on what to purchase. I love the magnetic cases! You have helped me decide on what to purchase first. I love browns and will probably get acorn due to this video! Now…go re-ink your pads!! 😊
Jayma, it would be interesting to see these swatches again the next time you do a video & have you tell us whether they changed colour as they settled down. I also wondered about pansy but looking at the royal. I think it is a more true purple. I was also thinking of pear in relation to limeade. I think that I might have to buy the new journey. However, I won't worry about some of the other colours as I don't like having them just sit in my box unused as most of mine do. I also just realised that I never even took the wrappers of some of my colours eg nutmeg as they came in a bundle & you saved money at the time buying the bundle & I was hoping to sell it to one of my fellow crafters but they all decided not to buy them so I was stuck with them. I finally used the linen, then pebble but most of the others have never been used. I don't like autumn colours so I used to give those shades to friends when the cardstock came with those colours, so I was one happy camper when we were finally able to buy just the colours we wanted!! 😄😄😄
From the look of the ink case I would say Journey was so similar to Peacock but now I see it isn’t! It’s less teal than I thought! Years back there was a Dutch blue… I can’t remember the name though!
I super appericate your honesty during the swatch test. Those colours are gorgeous!
Thanks for doing the work and acknowledging that some older colors would be suitable work arounds
Your video is really helpful - thank you for doing this comparison for us. I also love the look of all these gorgeous rainbow colors together.
You are so welcome! I am glad it was helpful.
Great idea! I look at the new inks & wonder how close they are to what I already have. I'd love to see you do a video on the new colored pencils.
Thank you! This was very helpful for those of us on a budget, but have an addiction 😂 I appreciate this very much 😊
You are very welcome. I get it! 😅
THANKS for sharing this, I will create a Colour Swatch Card with my Ink Pads, this is a great idea. 🙏💞
Jayma....that was Sooo Helpful .....got me looking at other old inks......I'm also going to look at papers that could be close.....or close enough :-)
Very helpful, thanx Jayma! ~Ali
Such a great comparison chart! I love this and all the things you had to say while making it.thanks!

Great comparisons! Thank you, Jayma!!
I lik3 the new colors best. TFS very helpful!
I always loved Pansy for purple. I remember it being bright. I’ll have to see if I still have it and do a comparison.
Thank you so much for sharing that! Yep! I need them all!
Great color comparisons. TFS, Monika

I'm going to miss this company. they made the most beautiful inks
I know…I miss them terribly.
Interesting TFS 😀
very helpful, thank you :)
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for doing this. It really helps to see them sise by side. I was wondering if Autumn Terra Cotta was close to pumpkin.
That was my thinking too, JTBailey! My very first CTMH ink was A. Terracotta and I LOVE it! ~Ali

I have 'Pear' too and think it could be a close enough match .....
Pear is quite a bit brighter
Louise, at the very end I showed a close-up of the swatches after they were dry, a couple of days later. They won’t settle more than that.
@@JaymaMalme I will go back & check it out again as I didn't realise that they were shown at a later date.

Oh yeah dutch blue was pretty! I think that was actually the name. It was definitely more blue than teal.
@@JaymaMalme I looked it up it totally was Dutch blue. I think Journey has way more green tones in it though.
I think Jade may be a close match to Topiary.
Ah that would be a good one to try.
Super helpful! Thanks so much! ❤
