Recently I have been reminiscing the good old days in aviation before the pandemic, so I clicked this video, sat down with my noodles and enjoyed a montage of the busy days at Sydney Airport. :)

nice TK, one of your best. BA plane with GE-90 engines, nothing like supporting local industry! Great shots of them sucking air in and the condensation as they roll. I still can't believe watching the 380 that its come to end of life, crazy...that drone four Trent 900s make is just as characteristic as the Merlin from a Lancaster or the whop whop whop of a Huey, it only comes from one plane and when you hear it, you know its a 380. I don't tire of flying in them at all. On another note, watching all the landing gear retractions, as much as I am an Airbus supporter, the 787 and 777 I think win hands down in terms of how smooth and quick the process is...excellent vid again.
@@AUmarcus Yes, bit of a tongue in cheek jibe from me. I know BA and its engine history with the 777 family and more recently with their 779 order, they will have the GE-9X, as its the only option. I look forward to trying to get on one in 2020.
It's great experience when takeoff by captain of flights.. aeroplane engine generate huge amount of thrust for giving high altitude of very heavy weight of flights..its amazing experience...

A very good viewing location and great footage. I especially liked the Vietnam 787 and Fiji A330. Very nice liveries. Good sound too plus Qantas 747-400 VH-OEF was a particularly nice one to see as I filmed this myself at London Stansted a few years back. Great video.
I've been on CX100 to HK then on to Europe half a dozen times or so in the last 3 years. Those GE90s have a distinctive start up sound. I'm surprised they aren't noisier on take off from outside than they appeared to be in this video, although I suppose wind direction might have played a part, too. Might be getting older, but the 777 is an impressive sight regardless. Speaking of impressive, nothing matches the 747 in my view. There's just something about it. Elegant yet majestic. Shame they're disappearing from all but cargo roles. Nice video, thanks, brings back some memories.

BA didnt have a choice when it purchased its 773ER's....GE was the sole engine supplier.

The 787-8 and 787-9 stiletto wing design and the ability to flex beyond normal parameters is an outstanding feat of Boeing engineering.
