Eddie was my bro from another mother. My actual blood brothers right hand man when we were in HS and even after. His bday was Dec.5 and mine was Dec.6.. countless memories with bro. From driving around the city in HS, jumping out at red lights to hit the dougie lol to those moving jobs we did (One we didn’t get paid cause the lady accused us of breaking her furniture). Bro was on his way to a lot of success and a whole life to live.. it’s hard to put in words how I feel cause I never dealt with something so tragic, and I don’t want to imagine how his immediate family feels. Such a senseless act that took the life of someone so close to me. Makes you question God sometimes. Like why Eddie of all people? I know we like to praise the people we love when stuff like this happens but damn Eddie was legit man. Bro was a pure person with pure and genuine intentions. Feels like a bad dream... I’m paranoid as hell now even though I know it’s irrational to be.

Most times ppl are still wrapping their heads around what just happened. When it’s an immediate family member like a son/daughter it’s more difficult to bear so you might see the mom crying on tv, but with other family members it’s like a stoic dis-belief, but when that funeral rolls around it really hits home and the tears just flow (my cousin was stabbed and died at 14)

This happened at the entrance of my boyfriend’s neighborhood. The guy that shot the driver was my boyfriend’s friend in high school.
Edit: the ex-friend decided to “take matters into his own hands” after the person they were looking for shot up their house multiple times and killed their dogs. They went to the police but they did nothing about it. Still sad that an innocent person was killed.
