Hey man i just got an 04 car 247b on tracks this winter and have done a few jobs andnam looking to get better and do more. I bought a cheap new grapple from skidsteerattachmentdepot for $1,500 and it did great tearing down an entire house. I want to do this kind of mowing and am not able to dump a lot of money into an exoensive one. Are they all pretty much the same with different brands? Like wolverine, mower kind, etc. Id definitely be willing to work on it and beef it up ao it lasts. How are the motors on them? Ive heard they dont cone with oil, and lotsnof nuts and bolts are loose and low quality.
They definitely don't come with oil you have to add it. They tighten all the bolts. Mine is still rocking but makes funny noises lol like bearing giving out. I've heard if that explodes it can ruin the tractor. But Overall they pay for themselves pretty quick.
@matthewgray1990 I'm happy with my grapple. 1500 bucks and I tore down a whole house with it in 4 days. Loaded seven 30 yard dumpsters. Had a few of the hydraulic lines come loose amd spray me so I should've checked and tightened those but never an issue after that. I broke one of the outer teeth trying to move one of the dumpsters but I welded some steel bandaids and it's all good. I added some pieces of steel on the bottom of the grapple so that smaller debris wouldn't fall through and welded a solid piece of steel on the back so that boards wouldn't pike through at me amd the hydraulic hoses.
