Those dresses are so cute. And the vintage 20’s to 40’s is definitely your decade for style. You can tell that it’s your thing. You can see it a little in everything you wear.
Thank you for sharing about the Compact’s I never knew that I love the vintage look. Also, my uncle served in the war and my aunts were the war brides and I remember them wearing those vintage clothes. I just love them.❤
I absolutely understand why you like vintage compacts. I like vintage and antique rings. I like that someone either had it made or saw it in a shop and loved it, that they looked at it on their finger and admired it sparkling in the light, then for some reason it became unloved until I bought it and loved it again. They seem to have a life of their own - as with the compact Charles bought Hazel. Why didn't she use it? Did he ever give it to her? There are so many questions. A word of caution about restoration though. Here in the UK, unless a piece is horribly damaged, it damages it's value to restore it. A certain amount of wear is not only expected, it's desired because it gives the item provenance. I don't know if it's the same in the US but that's how it is in the UK.

Where do you wear these dresses to I live in a small town. I am retired. The only place I go is to shopping. I always wear a dress. My hair done up earrings on rings on and people in the small town only were faded holy jeans they look at me like I’m an alien from another planet but that’s the way I was raised to fix yourself up when you go somewhere even though I feel uncomfortable I’m still gonna wear my dresses. Just wish I had somewhere else to wear them.
I'm not into vintage clothing but I did really enjoy the compacts !! Reminds me of my older sister, she had a few lipstick and compacts from the 50's and 60's. Show more with the hauls, it was interesting and fun.

Several years ago I bought vintage type 2 piece bathing suits from Amazon. I loved wearing them and got many compliments!
