  • This month, Eddie recounts the curious tale of Dennis O'Rourke and how his meeting with a stranger on the way to the Tulla horse-fair pulls him into Other World. Dennis is drawn into the Big House, a place where caution is called for against every creature that you might encounter. This tale was originally told to Eddie by Jimmy Armstrong, a patient in Our Lady's hospital in Ennis. Jimmy's stories are available in Eddie's recently republished book, The Man In The Big House.

Brilliant as always, reminds me of some of the stories I’d read of fairy folklore and being taken in. Thank you for keeping this alive.

Wouldn't it be great if someone would dramatize these stories in a motion picture. What a movie they could make, man! The world needs to know of these things. Whether or not they believe is less important than that - especially young people - they're exposed to Wonder & Mystery & Real
Magic. These are essential and they're being lost or dismissed. One more point: as a child I was famously gullible and teased and called stupid. But I wasn't ashamed because I believed that anything can be possible - and I still do.

Im probably one of the few people who actually believe some of these tales as i stdy the super natural after what happened to me i know human senses only can sense a small percentage of reality.
Theres alot of modern acxounts of people being taken by entities
Humanity has always been toyed with by the gods. We still are theres a war going on for our eternal consciousness
